Five years ago the residents behind Total Soccer fought against having a huge dome built. This time, the City of Fraser and Total Soccer finalized a deal without the input of those same residents. Fraser claims to have sent all the residents a letter notifying them of the proposed plan, however, at least 50 of them were never notified.
The building is higher than the zoning codes allow, the building is closer to residential homes than the codes allow and yet Total Soccer received the variances needed to proceed.

The residents of Fraser need to pay attention to this because it could happen in your back yard as well.

The condo association has hired an attorney and will proceed with their own action against Fraser and Total Soccer to put a stop work order in effect. I hope that they win this case because if they don't, Fraser could do the same thing to all the residents.

I can't believe the Fraser Planning Commission allowed Sail On Investments to build that Total Soccer facility right next to so many residences. "The Wall" is 42 ft. high and approx. 57 ft. from my dining room window. Can you imagine your city letting this happen to you? This is outrageous! Seems like an investment company (whose investors, of course, don't live anywhere near this building), can dictate to the officials of Fraser whatever they want. Doesn't matter if it is done illegally or ruins the property values of the residents they are supposed to serve!

Elaine,
Did you participate in the fight when the dome was going to be built? Were you notified that the current building was going to be constructed?

This is going on all over the country---the same mess is in Westland now.
We as citizens need to join together @ make this country a democracy again. You will find as we did in Westland that the developers have city hall in their pocket. You would be amazed at all the tax breaks these people get on the pretext of generating taxes for the city--which by the way never happens. Most of the dealings go on before you even know about it--a done deal as they say. I have found the citizen must
tell the truth but our city officials can lie or forget as much as they want. We are not being represented by our government--all they are doing is raping the taxpaying citizen. They get rich @ we get poorer @ nobody seems to give a damn. Good luck.
