look at some of the other boards, there are A TON of people defending her. I think every one has a right to feel the way they do. Like I have said I choose to feel differently then most on this board. I have tried to be respectful of everyones thoughts, but then I have been PERSONALY attacked in return. I do not want to make everyone agree with me. The hole thing is tragic, and to have people being nasty to each other because they dissagree on the issue, just makes it that much more tragic.
Of course you have every right to feel the way you do, I feel differently, and you have voiced your opinion in a very respectful manner, and you seem like a genuinely decent person, and your spelling is atrocious, and I wish you no ill will, take care.

I am with Nikki...you all sound like those miserable stay at home moms with no life...you probably watch Oprah, worry if your husbands are running around with their assistants when they come home late while you wait around in your house robes thinking of what a looser you've become. The only thing that keeps you guys feeling good about yourselves is reading about tragedies and convincing yourselves there are worst people out there than you! I think not! Be very careful worse things can happen to you.
Who are we to judge?

She comes from a small town...as a matter of fact I live in the same town. When you live in a small town, everyone knows your business and have no reservations in telling you how they feel about you. Trust me, she doesn't need to go to jail. If anything, that would be the easy way out for her. Now she is forced to face everyone here who all are totally disgusted with her. Day after day..whether its to the bank, post office, grocery store etc..she is greeted constantly by warm remmarks such as.."baby killer", "drug addict", "freak"...etc. You can be assured she indeed is getting her sentence. Only there's no "parole". She will be reminded until she herself is dead, or moves out of the area.

It is so easy to believe that as a good parent "this could never happen to me." Some things that should be considered- this woman had a routine, which was interrupted on the day this all happened; the baby was 5 months old, which means this woman had endured 5 months of sleep deprivation; the daycare was in the same place as her job, making it so much easier for her to just go on autopilot and not think about what she was doing; some of you are convicting her on the basis of things she did long ago in her past, which she has apparently dealt with and made improvements on.

This woman had an extreme amount of stess in her life at the time (if you've ever had a baby, you know how stressful it can be). Additionally, she worked for a collection agency- a job which consists of people yelling, swearing, and showing you their worst sides for 8 hours every day... if you've never lived like this, you could never know how much stress she was under.

Granted, I don't condone that she did this, but it was not something she did purposely... this is something that should really be taken into consideration. Believe it or not, cases like this happen frequently, this one was simply more highly publicized.

Think about this... if you've ever turned your back away from your child for even a moment, if you've ever left your child in the car for five minutes while you ran in the store, if you've ever let your child play on the playground while you sat nearby on a bench... if you've ever done any of these things, you were just as negligent as this mother was.

This woman WILL have to live with having done this every day for the rest of her life. Every time her 2.5 year old asks about the baby, she will be convicted and punished. Every time she looks at the back seat of her car, sees the baby's room, finds one of the child's toys where she didn't expect it... believe me, every minute of every day this woman is being punished more than any jail cell can. By placing this woman in jail, it would be punishing her other child a whole lot more than it punishes her... something to think about.

Just because you don't believe there is a God doesn't mean He doesn't exist. It simply means that's what you believe.

You can believe in him all you want, doesn't mean he exists, he is as much of a fairytale as Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.

Ummm, no!

Big difference between running into 7-11 and going to work for 8 hours.

Make all the excuses you want but the fact remains that this peice of trash is a murderer.
