Since Zeno's couldn't manage to pay their taxes I've gotten food from Wares on more than one occasion and have had no complaints. I give them credit for trying and actually succeeding. I had wings and a chicken finger sub. Instead of whining on here why don't you talk to the owner and constructively express your complaints.
Shur fine and Rich's aren't even valid alternatives and Gates creek is so hit and miss that it's not worth the gamble.

Depending on who makes the sub at Rich's, it can be pretty good. I have had decent food at Wares.

We cry on here because they don't listen to creative criticism. I have given them more than 3 chances and nothing is any better. They didn't just open. They have been open long enough to perfect their signature recipes. And they all suck! They are as good as they will ever get. Funny how we all pass the place and forget its even there now. Sorry Ware's, Legends blows your crappy food away and took your customers too! Time to close shop and move on.

I began ordering from them because the only other place that delivers in machias is John and Mary's and their delivery prices are insane and food is either just ok or horrid. I have had no problems with wares food, the pizza is fine, my kids likeit but I don't eat it, their wings (especially the honey mustard) are awesome we order them crispy. Steak and taco pizza are VERY good. The one complaint I have is the blue cheese is more like plain mayo, it needs more blue cheese In it desperately.
One thing I do want to say is that the friendliness of the owners is so wonderful! Real small town friendliness that is so lacking anymore. they are more then happy to explain food to you. I once ordered a certain specialty pizza that i love and they were out of the main topping and using something else. Instead of just taking my order they were up front and honest about it, and after i insisted on ordering it, they gave me a nice discounted price! My favorite part of ordering from them is how nice and friendly they are!! A+!
In the six months we have been ordering from them, no issues and I would give them 9 out of 10 (please fix the blue cheese lol)

i had sub and pizza from there yesterday and i would like to say that wares the pizza has got the worst food i have ever ordered from. how can n e one say that there food is good? Chuck. im sorry but you need to get out more. my guess is if they dont change their recipes they will be out of business in 6 months. i know many agree with me because they went from super busy to dead quiet within a week of being open. thanks for blowing our dreams of finally having a desent pizzeria
I had their pizza and it was really good. And it was back wen they wer newly opened. They are priding their business on honest feedback, so instead of criticsizing what u didnt like call and let them know specifically wat u think needs changing or adjusting. How'd u like it if someone bashed ur business? Too critical!!

We've been back several times since and I will say, the pizza is a no-go. It's uncooked in the middle and burnt on the edges consistantly. It just simply is not edible anymore. The subs are good, I don't know what the other posters were talking about, there has always been generous portions of meat, cheese and topping on my subs. The salads don't come with dressing unless you specifically ask for it and they change composition each time you order. The owners are very friendly and have great people skills. With al that said, Legends is by far the best "fast food" in town. Have yet to find something wrong with their food. They should expand, knock out a wall and create more family friendly/less bar-like extension.

To all of the people or person who posted about how good the food is. If they have so many customers because of there excellent food, why did they close? I heard they didn't have enough customers. Ware's the pizza? Gone and good riddance.

I used to work at Wares, before they closed, honestly I loved the food there. The pizza sauce was a little sweet but you know what we were working on that. We were changing the way we made things to please the customers. We were swamped alot. As for the wait time we tried our hardest to get your orders out on time. But we can only fit so many pizzas in an oven at once. Thank you to all of those that have showed their support and kindness. You guys were great to chat with when there was a couple minutes to spare. Sad to see Wares is gone. To the owners I miss you guys and wish you guys and your lovely child the best.
