One Man Shot, Another Captured Following Home Invasion

One man is hospitalized with a gunshot wound and another is in police custody after police interrupted a home invasion in west suburban Franklin Park on Tuesday morning. via NBC Channel 5

Maybe if CHICAGO didn't ban firearms the home owner could have defended his/her home themselves.
But since the majority of the honest people in Chicago obey the law, it's an open invitation to the criminal to walk right in with the odds in their favor that the homeowner does not have a firearm to protect themselves.

Great, another bunch of idiotic comments relating EVERYTHING to immigration. Where did it say that they were illegal immigrants and especially from Mexico? This trend of hating on immigrants is getting OLD and boring, I hope the news networks come up with something new to please the sheep.

It is really unfortunate that this city continues to have gun related violence each and every day. The police doesn't help much when they only get to participate in a cops versus robbers scene. We the decent honest citizens are at loss in all this.

I agree with you. Every story that has a blog Christine and few others find way to turn it into a race issue. It must be their hobby and the only time that they feel important and that someone is listening to them. I am so sure the people that surround them on a daily basis are not aware of the fact that they are so full of hate.

I hope the lady finds a way to put the pieces back together. I am so very happy that her children werent present. I feel for her and I can only imagine how terrified she must have been. God bless her and her family.

I too am glad that the kids weren't home at the time of this attack. I pray for this woman to be able to get on with her life with some sense of normalcy and without fear. God bless and know you are being prayed for.

You are aware that whites commit crimes as well right? I will agree that 80% of crimes committed by Blacks and Hispanics are crimes of violence and drugs, but Whites commit 80% of the white collar crimes like fraud, bribery, perjury.
