Drive in another town that has more respectful people and the come back to Melrose Park and you will see a big difference! I am trying to move out of this town! What i like about this town is that my family has been here since the early 1900s. and throughout that time there have been many different nationalities come and go. thats what america is about! my grandfather was an immigrant once too and people talked about the immigrants then the same way everyone talks abot hispanics now

The problem with Melrose is that your police treat the Hispanics like second class citizen's.
So the town gets treated like a second class town.
Which it is, the police department are corrupted. Thanks, to cannoli eating Guido's that have been there to long. And don't get me started on the Mayor. Didn't he have like 3 million dollars to fix our roads, what ever happened to that money???

Melrose Park WAS nice back in the day, but now it is a cesspool. I had to move 650 miles away from there because the Mexican's are taking over the west side and west suburbs. Now they are increasing in number here too! God Help Us!!!

I just love hearing how superior some of the long time Melrose people are. I had non Mexican neighbors mostly Italian that vandalized my property, called the village to complain about it, but were treated by a different standard. 2 neighbors would keep asking my wife for a kiss, 1 neighbor lady sent her 2 dozen roses and expensive flowers on her birthday and complained she wasn't friendly enough. They act like they are better than me but I never did anything to any of them. I hope the mexicans take over and these aholes have to move to another town where they cannot cal Italian relatives at village hall to torture their non Italian neighbors.
