Truth about Hooters of Union: liquor license was revoked for underage drinking in Hooters & Side Pockets which was connected to Hooters via a walk through entrance located @ the back of the Hooters Restaurant.

Truth about Hooters of Franklin: this location was closed because it's overhead costs were more than the Restaurant could sustain. Ownership decided it was better to close this location than continue to lose money.

There is no minimum # of Franchise locations that a group must operate. There are a number of groups that maintain 1 or 2 locations only. Especially in states like NJ that has multiple franchise ownership groups operating within the state.

The owner of the building is the same owner of the diner that burnt down in Sussex. Heard the guy is a serious ass and the reason Hooters left because the Landlord / owner was raising rent and got greedy. The owner / landlord has told customers of his diner that he was considering temporarily using the old Hooters location for his diner until he re-built in Sussex. Like the A&P plaza in Vernon - it will probably sit empty for awhile until the owner realizes he cannot get raising the rent and screwing with the people that move into the building.

I agree with "Hooters Girl" and "rich",
I also worked at some chain stores, and even though they brought-in money, the district manager and his mafia bosses said that my store was in the 'sticks'(way out in the country area - like Franklin, NJ) and they decided to close it. To them it is not worth the head-ache to make 10,000.$ a month when the other store(s) make 3x more at least. When you have that much money you (they) don't want to stress over the 'little money'. That location of the Hooters in Franklin, although very 'businessy' for that area, it is the only buzy (at all) area there. The population/business at the Wayne, NJ location is surely MORE than 3x the Franklin location. If the owner(s) are reading this - We really hope to have another Hooters in Northern NJ. I highly recommend near "County College of Morris" in Randolph, NJ. A lot of population from Ledgewood, Dover, Denville (surrounding areas) and next to a college. Ea$y.(and please at least give the girls a choice on wearing the classic 'Dolphin' shorts instead of the 'stumpy' new cotton shorts. Thank you for the great Leggs!

Closed due to the landlord wanting to jack up the rates. The head of the store turned it down and closed up. The landlord does it all the time hence why that property has been different things in recent history.
The guys who ran the Franklin branch also run the branch in Wayne, NJ.
