Do any of the people commenting realize that this poor man's 13 year old son hung himself a couple of years ago? He has had a hard time. Maybe he drank too much. He's in pain. Have some compassion.

Don't stick up for the loser! He didn't just threaten him, he physically assaulted him too.

"according to the police report. Perrault placed Jamele in a headlock and punched him in the face at least twice, causing Jamele to seek hospital treatment for an eye injury, MacFarland reported."

Anyone that threatens an 83 year old man let alone put him in a headlock, is a complete and utter loser and justice was certainly not served in this case. This guy should do every minute of his sentence and the sentence should have been longer. I hope he gets locked up before his good behavior time is over.

Have some compassion for the poor man? F him! Did you ever think that his son hung himself for a reason? I feel bad for his son being born to a piece of trash. This guy is an A-Hole and deserves every ounce of pain that he gets. I don't care what's going on in his life or what went on, he did what he did and there's no excuse. He is a full grown adult and knows right from wrong. Throw his arse in jail where he'll have plenty of time to think about what he did and where he needs to make changes in his own life instead of making up excuses for his screw-ups.

We're not talking about some lunatic terrorist beheading innocent people. We are talking about a guy who had a few too many pops who did something stupid. I'm sure he feels bad about what happened. I can tell by your intellingent responses that you are all a bunch of choir boys who have never had a few too many and did something you regret.

I'm not sticking up for him. I'm on a mission to find someone in NH that can read.

The 83 year old is named Cioffi, not Jamele. Jamele was 58.

so alchohol is a justifiable excuse???? So if I am driving drunk and run over a kid its ok because every one has done it sooner or later? Your logic is idiotic at best. This guy is a tool and a punk, getting into it with a man in his 80's just shows the kid of trash this guy is. Its amazing an old white guy verbally attacks and old man and then assualts a 58 yrs old man (13 years older then him) and he gets a slap on the wrist. Let that have been a teenage asian or hispanic and they would have thrown the book at him.....sad so sad

Not an excuse for what the jerk did. He should get counseling. Just because his kid killed himself, he gets a free pass for life? I don't think so. He should hang himself.
Some more intelligent insight

So Mr. Perrault should hang himself because he got into an altercation with his 58 year old neighbor over setting off some fireworks.

He's right up there with OJ!

For your information the other two people who are involved in this altercation the 82 year old and the 58 year old happen to cause enough trouble for all who live on that street also. Their not innocent either. Maybe he should not have hit the guy but speaking as one of their neighbors they have ALL cause trouble! they harrasse everyone about any little thing that goes on. come a live on the street for a week or two and you can get the full effect of what goes on. So until you do keep your mouths SHUT!!!!!!

Sounds good to me. I'll grab a quart of whiskey and a baseball bat and be right over, since it isn't "that big a deal" to get drunk and beat someone up.Why not you.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Libra

It's another day when tensions are rife and you feel stretched to breaking point. You might even totally lose your temper with someone, instead of merely snapping at them as you did yesterday. Mars stomps into reverse today, so it would be better to clear the air now with a row, and then forget all about it, rather than allowing bad feelings to accumulate and fester inside you.
