He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment,
For his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line, I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days Of my life, And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.

Oh how I wish we still had the good ole days of the Democratic party. The party today has abandoned itself and stands for nothing. Used to I could hold my head high as being a democrat, but no more.

Send Obama back to Kenya or where ever it is he is from!!

This has been the most repeated phrase(the democratic party has left the worker and gone to socialism)and is the fact as most of we democrats from the old days remember what it was and have a small knowledge of what it now is.Trying Independent was not satisfactory as could not vote in primaries,so went Republican. They come closest to what I believe.Unfortunately all politicians seem to prevaricate, but the Tea Part seems better.

Duh? officer duh!
Executive privilege "CUTS BOTH WAYS".!

Why has executive privilege been such a contentious issue?

Because it is at the fulcrum of a very delicate balancing act — between a president's right to candid advice and Congress' right to information. Also, executive privilege is a power that political parties tend to support when they control the White House, but abhor when they're out of power. For that reason, neither party is eager for a definitive ruling from the Supreme Court. For its part, the high court seems to be in no hurry to wade into such contentious constitutional waters.

BTW...guess who was the first President to invoke EP?
The Father of our nation...George Washington!!!!

I hate to be so blunt, but I must ask. Do you believe that we would be well advised to go cold turkey, pull the plug on all spending and stop taxing? Do you believe that biting the bullet and suffering an absolute shut down would improve our economy? Are you one of the “job creators” who has enough wealth for you and your loved ones could survive? Or do you believe that there’s a single “job creator” who would be concerned about you and your loved ones to want to help? Do you allow no room for moderation?
An absolute program of masochistic austerity require magical intervention to be successful. Otherwise, how would it work (by principles and mechanisms)?
"all spending" and all "taxing"? no, but returning to the limits set forth in the Constitution is the only chance we've got at choosing to reset our economy and taking the pain now, before it's no longer a choice that we'll make as it will be forced upon us and the change will be much worse.

If we don't cut our spending, and not just the "baseline" spending (were instead of growing spending 8.5% we're only going to grow spending 6.8%) we need real cuts. We could cut 1% of our budget, and freeze spending-even in this bad economy, we'd have a balanced budget in 5 years. But we can't even cut 1%!

We also need government deregulation in regards to our domestic energy and other EPA interference in the economy, just to name the largest problems of job creation, with taxes, Obamacare and the rest right behind energy.

It's not going to happen though. No politician is going to stand up and say hey, you've been lied to. This isn't going to work, and EVERYONE is going to take some pain now, or we're all going to face even worse circumstances in the very near future for kicking the can down the road yet again.

As for the "wealthy individual" waiting in the wings-the entire world would dump their wealth into the US if we implemented some of these policies and were serious about reigning in the government and promoting economic freedom to create wealth. Not to mention the millions of American businesses, large and small, that are sitting on trillions of dollars of wealth b/c it's too risky an environment to do anything with that cash other than sit on it and wait for something to change.

Truly religious people keep their faith a private matter and do not, not ever, force it on others especially using the Gov’t by legislation and yes it’s in the constitution which makes you a liar and a hypocrite. People of faith do not diss their national leader and commander in chief which makes you a cowardly hypocrite! Why can’t you give credit where credit is due? Why not accept the positive economic indicators,(much to the dismay of the Republican Party), that are on the rise. He pulled us out of both wars, you might cite the fact that his orders eliminated bin Laden and you could acknowledge continually dropping unemployment figures. How about it, as your God is your witness go ahead, quote those positive figures!
So Frank, is the weather always 70 degrees and sunny in your make believe world?

Not even going to touch the religious issues, it's not worth the time to try and teach someone who doesn't want to know.

Just going to point out the rest rather quickly:

Positive economic indicators? What? Where? Are there any?

Housing is bouncing along the bottom, and if not for the millions of homes that banks are not foreclosing on, we'd find a new lower housing market report every day.

Pulled us out of both wars? We're still in Afghanistan and we've been operating over in Pakistan as well. Not to mention the other three wars-er-"kinetic military actions" that he's taken us into.

Oh, unemployment numbers are dropping. Thanks to those who are no longer counted. Those who have run out of their unemployment benefits. Those who have stopped looking for jobs, the 50% or so of college grads (in the last 3 years) who are either unemployed or still bussing tables...
Not to mention, we need 200,000 to 250,000 jobs a MONTH just to keep up with population growth.
The little job growth we've had the last two months has been due to growth of part-time workers (back to back records setting hiring of 200,000+ part time workers), not full time jobs and economic growth

There's still the rising inflation that's around 9%-using the formula from Reagan's era instead of the "new" better,(aka, cherry picking useless items) formula for Obama's inflation....

So, ya, positive economic numbers... I won't hold my breath, but feel free to share them with us

Yeah,I've grown tired of all the extremism!
I wish they would think in terms of 50/50 and get back to bipartisan
agreements.
Senators and congressmen seem to never put forward co-sponsored legislation anymore?
They like getting on the cable news and more or less just trash talk
a bunch of gobble-de-goop!
Plus they never thank the American people anymore...and it's both sides.
Last time I heard anything about it the American work force was the
most productive in the world!
