You know I can usually tell when a place is closing, but the cafeteria food is a telltale sign.

Honestly.... If you judge a place by the food it sells in the cafeteria... I don't even have words for that. Most places don't even have a cafeteria. Most people at the majority of your factories bring their own food. I'm pretty sure if they chose to, they could just simply end the contract with them, and let people just bring stuff from home. No one is forcing anyone to buy the food. And running people off, how are they running them off? By making them... uh, work? They call it a job for a reason. I have actually noticed people slacking a little, and not just temps. You can blame it on being tired... Which I'm sure you'd be quick to say, "hell yeah we're tired, working seven days a week...." Honestly, eight hours a day is nothing compared to what I've seen them work at FPI... And come to think of it, I don't think they have a cafeteria that serves food either. I will say this though, for your kids sake, I hope they don't close anytime soon. From the grammar in your post, if you've been there for nine years. You may have trouble applying for a new job. I'm really not trying to sound rude, but you kind of left that one wide open ;~)

They don't have a cafeteria at FPI, but they do serve food in the large break room. And FPI is shit. I'm sure Harman is shit too. One 10 minute break and a lunch in an 8 hour shift is beyond rediculous!

That's how every work place does it you get paid by the hour. Two 10-15 minute breaks and a 20-30 minute lunch. That's just how it's done

Workers in Kentucky have a right to a 30-minute meal break and two 10-minute paid rest breaks in 8 hours. Workers under 18 years old have a right to a meal break after 5 hours work and to be paid for any breaks shorter than 30 minutes.

I agree. All these industries around here are getting WAY too uppity. The workers need to start sticking together so they get their fair share of the profits.
