I just recently found this forum while seaching for any new information that their may be on my lifelong neighbor, brother and friend,
Tom Smith. I am so glad I found this forum and easy access to be in contact with two people he Loved and cared most about in his
life, his two daughters, Tonya, and Tasha.
To Tonya and Tasha,
I am Linni Endicott. I lived next door to your dad, Charlie, Lynn, Bernie, Alice, John, Dot, and Walter all my life. We were more
than neighbors we were family, all of us. My Dad Wayne Endicott and Tom were best friends. They hung with each other, confided in
each other, counted on each other. You could catch my Dad just about any evening at Hoosier Kitchen hangin, and talkin to Tom. Alice
and I are the same age, was in the same grade. We were childhood friends, but soon grew out of that because we were so differnet from
each other, just didnt have the same interests. Tom was and always remained like a brother to me, although he would have liked us to
be more like boyfriend and girlfriend.HA.! After graduating highschool, getting married, and moving out of Flat Rock, to Edinburgh,
and having two children, 13 months apart I lost touch with just about everybody. It wasnt until after my Dads death in 1993 that I
lost touch with Tom though. We finally ran into each other again, but it wasn"t until after your Grandpa, Walter passed away, the
inheirtance money came in, and he was living in his Dads house alone. We caught each other up real quick, filled each other in on what
had happened and was happening in our lives. I didnt even know until that day that Walter had passed away and how much affect it had
on Toms life. Tom invited me and my husband at the time to come to his house, which was Walters house, and play a game or 2 of pool in
Walters garage. Tom knew i was a pool shark, my Dad and I ran Flat Rock Grill and Grocery, which we had pinball games and pool
tables. I use shoot Tom and others pool for money and most usually won! That weekend My son, Joey and I went to Toms house. We playes
couple games of pool, in which I won both, and we sit and reminessed, looked at pictures, and i sit and lI istened while Tom poured
his heart out to me. That was 3-4months before he started building the resturant in Edinburgh, in memory of his Dad I never lost
touch with Tom again until his dissappearance. I last saw Tom at walmart in columbus 2 or 3 days before he was to open the resturant.
Tom told me all about his life now, what he thought, how he felt. I will say this, he definatly Loved his daughters. Tonya, I had met
you on couple occaisions during your childhood, and he Loved so, although he felt like he missed out on alot with you. Miss Tasha,
who I had never met, but told all about you. Tom adored you and was trying to stay more focused in your life as not to miss out on
any. There are other things Tom told me, things in which I think he would want me to share with both of you. You can Email me at
email@example.com and I will email Tonya with my phone number to call me so we can get together and have a TOM POW WOW ! I am
looking forward to hearing from and meeting you both. Tom was and is part of my family, which means you are too, and I am very proud
to say that!! I LOVE your Dad, Tom , so very much and I miss him more than you could know. Your Dad was alawys the responsible one,
more grown up with his head on straight. He was a clean cut, respectable, careing, giving man. He didnt ever follow any one, or any
crowd. He was a LEADER. He was his own self made man. You should be very proud and honored to say he is your Dad.!!!
I Love you and miss you so Tom Tom!!!!!!!!!!
