We both agreed after some arguing that she won't get a tattoo until she's at least 18. She wants me to compromise and let her get her nipples pierced. I don't like it, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as a tattoo. I'd like your opinions, and share them with her while we make our decision. Thanks!

Another teen parent in the making. This parent will be back asking if she should let her 14 yr old become pregnant because after all she wants a baby.

Why are you even asking ??? Quit trying to be a "friend" to your daughter and try being a "parent" instead.

When she comes to you and asks if she can go on the pill so she can have sex, will you compromise and buy her some condoms?

I don't know what makes you sound less intelligent, the fact that you are even considering this or the fact that you would admit in public that you are considering it.

Go ahead let her, when se gets home go to Srippers 'R Us buy a brass pole to put in her room. She will also need a couple of G-strings some 6 inch platform stripper shoes,a bong, and an assortment of crack pipes.Don't forget to get one of the Planned Parenthood gift certs. Also you may want to start a savings account for her future bail money or rehab your choice.

Since all areas of the U.S. have different opinions & values, when it comes to morality; I think that you ought to confer with the other single parents in the trailer park to see how they feel about it.

If this isn't spam, you should be shot. I'm guessing you're trolling, but its so hard to tell anymore. With all the dirty trashy people in the US, it wouldn't be a stretch. If you're being serious, its obvious you're very, very poor and uneducated and my tax money is probably paying for you and your whore daughter right now. I think we should have a say in how you people breed and how much of a burden you're allowed to be. No, don't let her get her fuckin nipple pierced you dirty nasty skank. Thanks child abuse imo. You could argue that she's willing, but that doesn't matter. you're the parent, and its your job to keep her out of trouble. btw, I'm pretty sure it would be illegal for an adult to play around and stab your BABY's nipple.

Tattoos and piercings are ugly by any standard! You can be classy without these or trashy with them! One set of ear rings makes an elegant female....more than one set identifies a tramp! Tattoos are totally verboten too both sexes!

And you can be classy with piercings and trashy with out them. You're generalization is pathetic.

About the topic, it may seem silly the though of a 12 year old getting a nipple piercing but times are changing. Should you not allow her simply because she's 12? No, that's not a valid reason to deny any person, child or not, the ability to make a choice for themselves.

You have to ask yourself, as the parent, the consequences of your daughters actions both in the short term and long term. In the short term, you're daughter will enjoy her new piercings, her friends may be envious, and she'll feel great, but temporary, happiness. Also in the short term, you have to consider all the other kids that will make fun of her, give her a hard time, the judgement that will be cast upon her by her teachers and other administrators, and the way other parents and the same school facility will view you, your ability to parent, and your moral base. As much as you and I may not like it, a lot of people, especially in the mid-west, are so bible bound and morally confused, they'd rather ensure that a 12 year old doesn't get a piercing by going to war with another third party group. Silly but that's life.

Back on topic; you also must consider the long term, arguably more important. In 10 years from now, is your daughter going to still want the piercing or is she going to permanently scar her body for a childish whim. Is your daughter going to want to have children one day? If so, is she going to want to breast feed? If so, the piercing must go then so whats the point now? Is your daughter going to want to have an active and enjoyable sex life down the road? If so is she aware that after a nipple piercing, most of the feeling in the nipple is lost gradually during few years?

Ultimately, the decision is yours. Would I let my 12 year old daughter let her get her nipples pierced? No way (I have many tattoos and piercings myself).

Good luck.

I think you have proved the point that she should not be allowed to chose because she is only 12.A 12yr old is not educated nor mature enough to make these kinds of decisions.Given the choice most 12yr olds would eat nothing but Capt.Crunch and Twinkies. That is why parents make these decisions, because 12yr olds have not developed impulse control. When they have had time to mature enough and had enough education then they can make lifestyle decisions.

There are some closed minded people in Indianapolis OMG, No, your 12 year old who isn't even old enough to go into a piercing shop shouldn't get her nipples pierced, but when she is old enough and if she wants tattoos and piercings that's her choice, that's not trashy, I have a good job, and getting a very good education, and I have 15 tattoos and my nipple pierced and still look like a professional everyday.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
