Chemo Doctor Friday. Lets get this thing rolling. Not to happy now with the bag after watching YouTube. But we must do what we have to do. BTW we are up to over $25000 in Medical bills. For an hour in the operating room and over night stay was almost $16,000

Yes, get it rolling so you get treated and healed quicker. Is your oncologist at 21st and shadeland or Community? It is crazy what surgery and overnight stays cost. Sorry about the bag, but wahtever it takes to get you well is the right thing to do.

First I am having trouble with the surgeon that he referred me to. He is not in my insurer system. I am trying to get it done at Community because of driving back and forth for my girl. Appointment Friday for chemo at community north. I started with Urology of Indiana. They have an office three blocks from my house. Of course they want me to travel to the north office.

Took my first pill that they have given me last night. Because of the effects of it, I do not know If I will be able to post here or keep up with much of anything. I have to go to the hospital for lung ct scan and bone scan. They want to see if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Then if it is neg. I will start chemo Wednesday morning. If positive, they will not treat the cancer.

That just doesn't make sense. I hate that for you. It seems to be typical, when you live close to one facility you end up having to drive to the one furthest from your home. I do wish insurance companies would take this into consideration and bend the rules a bit. I hope you scans come out clean and the cancer hasn't spread. I will be thinking of and praying for you this week.

Ct bone scan came back clear. They are not sure about the lungs. There are area's that they are not sure of but can not say it is cancer They are only going to keep a eye on. Took my first chemo treatment today. Two and half hours turned into five. Back tomorrow for five hours and a defendant chemo drug. Really so far there have not been any side effects.

Its not fun. All the test and people poking at you. But you will find 99% of the people you come into contact with are nice. Hope for the best and think about things you have to do before the end. If it is in your future.

Believe it or not I had a better day today on my second treatment. Everything went well. I was tired but I have manged to stay up all day. I found out this will be one day a week for the next 3 weeks then one week off. If it is helping this will continue for 13 to 16 weeks. They are trying to get my kidneys working better so they can take another CT scan with imaging. This will tell them what is showing up on the lungs. We continue until I determent that the treatment for the disease is worst then the disease. There is many things that I would like to share with you if there is enough people reading my journey. And I have to admit it helps me take you with me. I have a couple of idea's in mind. Like I said if there is enough people interested.

David, we are reading, and care. A local Pastors wife was diagonosed with stage four breast cancer four years ago, and still lives. Doctors gave her six months to live four years ago. Our lives are in the hands of a Living God that decides when our lives end, not Dr's. You wrote about John 3:16, put your faith there, trust and pray. I will pray for you also. I have my own opinion on chemo, based of family participation, and will share if you ever ask. You are going through what we may all have to, and you are too young to have to endure it. Grace and peace be with you.

Went for my last chemo yesterday. First real bad day I have had so far. Fell asleep in the chair. Could not drive. Had a rough night. All the fluids I am taking in has effected my lungs and breathing. But the people around me has been out of this world. Off still next Tuesday. Chemo Once a week but I am going to have to have a port put in. They had trouble getting the IV in and the one they did only lasted two days. They had to use a bigger needle and that to say the lest HURT.
