Go get on the Fishers bus and ask the driver if he's an employee of IndyGo. I guarantee you he's not. And they are going to use the same buses for Carmel as the Fishers bus.<quoted text>
They will be using "motor coach" type buses not charter buses, there is a difference. If IndyGo is going to expand to cover more then just Marion County then cost should be shared by all. I have no problem with IndyGo expanding to other counties if it was doing the job in Marion, but it is not. The taxpayers that are footing the bill should come first.
Second, your "Marion County only" tax money is not going to it. The grant that's paying for it is a federal grant. Correct me if I'm wrong, but federal tax money can be used anywhere in the nation. And the other 20% is coming from the fares and Carmel. So, where is your "Marion County only" tax money going for this? Answer that?
