Well it's all said and done and I think we made our points very clear to the trouble maker and that's that! Now let's get back to hearing and telling stories and sharing our memories about Katherine and Marcel. I know there are plenty out there. I can't hear enough about them. It makes me so happy when I hear one I have never heard before, and I do love to share the ones I have about them. Especially Katherine. I have so many. She has been on my mind alot lately. I saw some stores are now putting out their fall decorations...if you can believe that? But fall was Kate's favorite time of year. Well she celebrated every holiday and season in a big way, especially in decorations. I remember a few years ago, she called me and told me to come look at her fall decorations in her front yard and on her porch at her house on 12th street. She said I just wouldn't believe it. So I went up and she was right...I just couldn't believe it! haha! she had a couple of huge bails of hay in the front yard and stuff hanging from the ceiling of the porch and what not. I told her, "Girrrllll....don't you think it's a bit much?" You probably could not have put another thing on her porch. We just sat down and laughed about it and took some goofy pictures of us posing with the kids on the bails of hay and stuff. I would like to see those pictures again. She knew it was a lot but that was Kate....never enough. Now I think back and boy how I would love to see that porch decorated just like she had it that year. I still go by that house and it feels like she should be home. Man do I miss her......

Her is a funny story for everyone. When Kat and I were kids we lived out in the country and we loved to play in the woods. She and I would have our Mom to pack us a lunch in a bread bag and we would play all day. She would even pack us a roll of toilet paper because we would refuse to come back to the house until that evening. We were 3 and 5 when we started this and continued to do this until we moved in to Ironton. Mom would have to come out there and look for us sometimes when we didn't go check in with her. Sometimes we would be out there making mud pies, other times we would be playing house or like we were lost, and sometimes we would even play like we had ran away. When we moved to Ironton we would talk about how much we missed the easy life of playing out in the woods all day. Even if it was raining Mom would still let us go put there and play(unless it was thundering or lightening). We both thought that was the best play time. Now Kat's two little babies are living out in the country and getting to go play out in the woods like we did and they also think it is so awesome. They have all of their friends come out there and they take them out in the woods and everyone ends up not wanting to go home because they are having so much fun. I know Kat would laugh if she could see her children packing a lunch (in a bread bag) and running out the door to have a full day of play in the woods. I think if she was still here she would be out there with them playing and making our famous mud pies and convincing the kids that she really did eat all the mud pies that they decided to serve her. She always had a natural gift when it come to children. My 4 year old little girl still talks about Aunt Katherine everyday. Anastasia tells me stories about some of the stuff they would do together when I would come to town and she would go spend the night with Katherine. Somethings blow me out of the water and the other things sound so familiar. She always says one thing that she misses is how she would get in Aunt Katherine's bed and all Aunt Katherine wanted to do was smell her hair and her neck until they fell asleep. Anyway her is a story that we all hold close to our hearts and I thought maybe some of you would like to her something new about Katherine.

I have another funny story for everyone. This is a story that my son holds next to his heart and he tells it to everyone that he talks to about Katherine. When Robby, Torrence, and Addison were all together at her house and decided they needed or wanted some money Katherine would make then earn it as she called it. Torrence had a small window cactus and Katherine would pay them a quarter everytime they stuck their finger or tongue to the cactus. Robby said they would do that all day sometimes just so they would end up with enough money to go to the store and buy themselves a new toy. He tells that Kat would watch them and laugh so hard sometimes that she would be crying. Robby said Katherine was always buying extra band-aids because sometimes they would push down on the cactus so hard that they would bleed.I can see Katherine telling the kids it's ok it won't hurt. After the first time they did it I can see her saying do you really want that new truck or that new doll. If you want it come earn some money and crab you a handful of that cactus. Knowing Kat the way that I do I can see her laughing so hard and sometimes unable to breath. She was probably holding her stomach and wiping her eyes at the same time. I know it sounds mean to have the kids doing that but my son loved it at the time and now that she is gone he holds that in his heart everyday and if he doesn't find anyone new to tell it to he tells me and my husband about it over and over again. I have even walked in and heard him telling my daughter about it. So even if it may sound bad to you as you read this just remember that the kids really did enjoy it and they cherish it now.

So here's one for you...Kate was always about trying..and I stress trying cause good intentions go bad...but she tried to stay in shape....She would also try to stay positive and focused. I had a gazelle workout machine. It was kinda like skiing if you haven't heard of one. You just swing your feet back and forth in a skiing motion. So she wanted to try it out for a while. When I got it back, and I still have it...don't use it, but I have it...anyway she had typed or handwritten little notes and taped them on it and all over her house for that matter. Stuff like, "You are worth it", and "You can do it", or this one that I loved and still do love, "perservere" (or however you spell it). So anyway, Marcel's mom Memo let Kate use her treadmill. She was gonna have all the workout equipment she could get her hands on for the winter. So I was at her house and her little girl Addy, who would have been about three or three and a half at the time, wanted to get on the treadmill. We tried to tell her that it might go real fast. Addy is a daredevil and crazy girl, much like her mommy was, and she was up for the challenge. She wanted Kate to make it go as fast as it could and she was sure she could do it. So Addy got on it, Kate turned it on real slow...then Addy said now faster mommy...then faster mommy...and before you know it, that kid was in a full out sprint on that dang treadmill...Her little bare feet were just poundin' away on it...(and her foot sounds got heavier and heavier the longer she was on it as you could imagine)Kate kept telling her, "now Addy you won't be able to do it if I make it faster"...she insisted. So after Addy had been running on it for a short time...she wanted off....and Katherine told her she had to pull the key in front of her to stop it....she went to get it with her hand and Katherine told her, "No Addy, you have to get it with your teeth"....We were rolling and so was Addy, well Addy was for a second...That girl kept running and leaning forward to grab the key with her teeth...and kept it up....Katherine kept telling her, "perservere Addy, perservere!"...I was on the couch in tears and Kate was sitting on the stairs and we were just doubled over howling with laughter....and do you know Addy grabbed that key with her teeth and stopped that treadmill! We were still laughing but at the same time we were like I can't believe she did it...I told that to Addy. She didn't remember it when I told her about it but as I told her she just smiled and I could tell that in her mind she went back to that day and relived that moment (even tho she didn't really remember it) she was able to paint a picture of how it all happened and she was happy in the moment with her mommy. I surely won't ever forget that memory! I hope you got a kick out of it. I sure did!

I surely won't ever forget that memory! I hope you got a kick out of it. I sure did! Girl that is a great one. I can see Little Miss Thing doing that because that is so Addison. Not only did Kat put the little notes up in her house, she also put them up in Mom's house. When I was up there in March they were still on every cabinet, fridge, behind the stove, and believe it or not on the bathroom door because you know Mom's had a little pantry set up in her laundry room ( outside the bathroom door for anyone who had never been in Mom's house). I don't think Mom ever looked at any of the notes after the first week. If she did I know she never read them because the lady eats candy bars will she is in bed. Make sure you keep the stories coming and I will do the same. If anyone else has some to add please do so because the next time Addison and Torrence are down here I am going to put them on here and let them read all the stories.

A couple of years ago I came home on a grey hound bus to visit and pick Robby up. Katherine and Marcel had Cel's b-b-q stand set up in Coal Grove at the time. The day I left to come back home I was up at the stand with Katherine. When I went to leave Katherine started making Robby and I some to go plates to bring on the plate because she was scared we would get hungry and not be able to stop anywhere to get something to eat. I think she made 4 or 5 plates and Marcel came in and asked her if she was trying to feed us for a week. Her response was well that is my sister and my nephew, I don't want them to be hungry. We made her stop making plates and when I got in the car to leave she come running out with a grocery bag full of candy, chips, and anything else you could think of. I think she thought we were going to ride that bus for a week or something because she would not stop bringing food out. She sent so much food that I ended up having to put almost all the snacks in my suitcase because i had to many carry on bags.
I rode the bus home another time and when it was time for me to come back home Marcel and Katherine decided they wanted to take me to the bus station(in Lexington Kentucky) so we could go out to dinner together before I left. After we got to the bus station Anastasia was getting upset. Marcel was telling her to drop her baby doll and kick it or punch it. He even had her jumping up and down on it in the middle of the bus station. After she got real good at doing it he started yelling yeah now we can see how Melissa treats Anastasia. He was saying stuff like yeah she is only doing the stuff she sees at home. He had everyone in the bus station rolling about all of it. Anyone that knew Marcel knew he was always really loud and had to make sure everyone could hear him. He was even standing up in one of the chairs so everyone could see him and know it was him. Even the bus station attendants thought he was hilarious. Anytime Marcel knew someone was watching him and thought he was funny he would keep acting up. Katherine kept saying Marcel would you stop that. Please stop you are embarrassing me Marcel. I was laughing because I thought at any minute she is going to lay him out if he don't stop.
I really do miss all these funny characteristics about the both of them. I miss everything about them but I will always have my stories about them lock in my heart and will continue to share them with anybody willing to listen.

When Katherine and I were younger Mom would have us to take the trash out and burn it (when we lived out in the country). I think Kat was around 6years old and I was 4. The rule was we had to set it on fire and then get away from it. Of course we never did, instead we would play with the fire. We would put the milk jugs and other things like that on a stick and hold it over the fire while it melted. We always took the lids off of everything until the day Kat decided to leave the lid on a milk jug. Needless to say it exploded and burnt her hand. She had melted plastic burnt into her skin and everyday of her life she had a reminder because she never got it out of her skin. I remember Mom was going to tear us up but she ended up feeling bad for Katherine so she just gave us a little spanking. Even after Kat got hurt we still never stopped playing with the fire we just made sure we took every lid off after that.
I just thought I would share another story with you all because I just heard the song YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and felt the need to put something on her about her.

Ok, mine is alittle bit on the cheesy side, but oh well!!! Ok so one year on Super bowl Sunday, Marcel, Katherine, David and Addison and Torrence and I set up all the different snacks and stuff all around the kitchen table...I mean there was EVERYTHING!!!!! We couldnt watch the game becayse the channel they had only offered things like who scored a touchdown..and stitistics about each player..It was lame..so we all were in the kitchen eating bugles and tortillas and doritos and cheesesticks..well they had a new kitten named Torque or something like that And told Katherine that the cheeseticks were still frozen and I threw it at th cat!!! She got sooooo mad at me and I got up to run through the house to scream like a little girl and she pulled me back by the hood of my jacket gave me the most humiliating wedgie of my life slapped me (with love) on both cheeks. and pushed me in the corner of her living room...Everyone was laughing at me like She had just told the funniest joke in the world..Addy then comes and says "Thats what u get for messing with my Titty Tat" It was so cute though...Katherine kept telling me to shake it off..I stood up..and she asked me if i wanted to step outside..I then took my seat..and proceeded to eat my rather cold cheeseticks.. Moral of the story..Katherine always wins!!! "Shake It Off" (Her famous saying) -Katherine Sue Linthicum

It was as if I could really see her doing that because she used to get my little boy like that. When she would give a wedgie she would always try to hook the pants on the persons head. She would be laughing so hard when she done silly things like that, that she never could finish what she had started. Well I hope you always remember the fun times you shared with them. If you or anyone else have anymore to add please do so we can all keep the memories alive together.
