Sounds like someone wants to see his own name pop up. Maybe it should say how many finished college.

Yummy no my name would not b on this list because I wasnt a player but enjoy a good ballgame and watching a good player play. I graduated n the late 70's. I do remember Scarberry was one heck of a player from that time and he did go all the way and I have watched him coach for several years now. What about the Roach boys? I know Scarberry went D-1 any others?

Wow yummy you have a bad attitude I was just being nice, and Green Team I agree about the girls I remember in my day the Barrett girl and the McMackin girl was younger but a good player and was there a Kouns that also was a fine player . most recent was a Thompson girl her mom I think was around my age. I'm proud of all the kids that come from the furnace and do well just over the years you kinda lose contact with the different ones. Sorry to make people made just ask a question. And to GHS yes there were a lot of Salyers that were fine players.

Greg wheeler went to green one year so he doesn't count to me. also way back Ronnie salyers i believe went to wilmington for basketball best pure shooter to come out of Green.

I know many young men back in the early 80's that received full scholarships graduated with degrees and are outstanding citizens today. I'm not sure I know a handful of people from the furnace that actually finished college. Sad but true.
