Greenup pair accused of sex crimes

Readers may find some information in this story offensive. A man and a woman from Greenup County have been accused of committing a litany of sex crimes against three children under the age of 12.

I think they should get the maximum penalty allowed by law. This happens too often. Children are the innocent victums. Unfortunately there are too many people like this in the world.

You know it's horrible enough when a man does this but when a women is involved - that just goes against all that be's!

I'd like to be alone with the two of them , just me and a ball bat. Why would someone do those things to a child, there are enough willing adults in the area. They will pay in prison, even the worst criminal hates a child molester.

Why would a Judge set bond at 150,000 dollars or property? The bond should be at least 500,000 - but preferably 1,000,000 dollars. These people may not be able to come up with the 150,000 dollars but that is irrelevent - IT IS AN INSULT TO THE CHILDREN!!!!- send a message - let these animals know Greenup County is not going to put up with this kind of unforgivable abuse!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you, Charlie Stapelton is a known registered offender and he shouldnt be out on the streets to be able to do it again.
There should be NO BAIL! There needs to be stiffer penalties for child molesters. Hang em high!

I find that most of the comments on this issue, to be true, charles leon stapelton is a registered sex offender. And i don't understand how he was allowed to be around these children and i do feel that he should never be able to walk the streets as a free man if he is found guilty of these charges (any one who molests a child should never be free to walk the streets again)but I have some reservations about charles stapeltons mental status. I have been aquainted with him, and i would consider him to be mentally impaired, i feel he should be evaluated to determine if he knows what he does is wrong. I feel that he would be abused or killed if placed in prision. he should be placed in a mental health facility, but never released to hurt other children.

How can people be so sick? Who in their right mind, as an adult, who even be attracted to a child. I believe that is a man is found guilty of sex crimes, he should be given a drug to be permanently impotent or let's face facts, as parents, certain things should just be cut off, and then we would not have these sick people acting upon these sick actions.
