I don't confess to be an expert about anything but I do have many miles traveled world wide unger my belt... I have stopped at many convient marts on my travel both in the USA and other places... I was thinking the other day after hearing a few ads for the Clarks Stores and how great they are advertized to be... That in my opinion is a big joke or pure BS... On a scale of 1 the worst to 10 the best... I would have to rate them and the Bp in the furnace as maybe 1 to 2 at the best... I have gone to some very bad ones and most of them were better then any Clarks or the one in the furnace.. I am basing this not only on items the offer from food to other thing and the attitude and friendlyness of staff also...

My Till was short based on the lack of Math on the managments part im very sure of it... Hell they even shorted our paycheck on the basis on that. Lets say I worked 7 hours and 30 minutes... that was computed as 7.3 Hours lol thats like 7 hours 17-18 minutes.. They can not do math what-so-ever. They did give me my hours for "That paycheck" and no back pay for the other pay periods of mistakes.. Let alone all of the other employees that got underpaid. Since I was the only one that "complained".. I got my hours cut. "Under federal Law this is very illegal" No discrimination or cut hours because of the complaint. btw BS i copied all of the schedules every week I worked there because I saw this discrepency. I could sue up the Ass if I wanted too.. I just don't do that kind of shit, however.

That place "Hopefully after Randy fully sells it off" Will get their comeuppance. Its still a very demanding place since there is no other store in town tho. So people will still go there because its just too damn convienient!

Nice post Kristofer.... Sounds like u got the shaft like they have done many others... Sue them if u got that much evidence if they were in your shoes and u were in theirs no doubt they would....Just think of suing as this it not only for u but for all he others they have shhafted over the years and continue to do so in the future..

Before you sue them for pay shortages check your stub. If you were paid what amounts to minimum wage for the hours you worked there won't be much you can get from them. Wage and Hour division will just make sure you are paid for the hours worked and that over time was paid. That it could have been paid at the minimum wage rate is just fine and legal. Not morally right by any means but within the vagueness of the law.

The Vagueness of the law also permits $10,000 for every Offense. Its pretty clear actually if you ever read the law. I have and it states it pretty clear.

They did NOT quit! Either Randy Bailey or the "old" manager FIRED them! Sad but true. Gotta love people who are "NOT LOYAL" to their employees or friends!

The food selection is getting better....friendlier ppl working too. Actually looks like they are keeping stuff to sell too. Except for cigs that is.....always outta my smokes but luckily I'm not too picky and will get something else. I heard some woman in there today and she was pretty upset bc they were out of hers and had no mt dew two liters. Hopefully that doesn't mean it's gonna go backwards again. Management comes in and out of there a lot.....what's that about?
