Is anyone else having problems this weekend with their At&t service? They say there is a tower down somewhere, but don't know when it will be fixed. I can only text, but all my calls are cutting out. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

AT & T is terrible. I will be glad when my contract is up so I can sign up with BOOST. It is much cheaper and just about the same coverage.

I have been having problems since Wednesday or Thursday. When I spoke with customer service yesterday, they said there aren't any known issues. I have been with AT&T for over ten years and I'm to the point I want to cancel my contract. I've stayed because the coverage area is supposed to be better, as well as the rate of dropped calls. I'm like you, I can get the same service elsewhere and save money.

My phone has been dropping calls and low talk volume about the same time. There is obviously a problem but when I called they said it HAD to be my phone. I'll call again now, thanks.

We have had the same problems all weekend and its aggravating as hell. I guess I should call them as well...maybe if enough of us bug the crap out of them, they will get working on it.

Those of you having problems with your service need to call in to customer service AGAIN if need be. It's not your device. My entire family has AT&T and we are all having the same issues on different devices. I called yesterday and they re-registered my phone to a different tower, but that did not help. I called back in just now and they transferred me over to technical support. They opened a case for me to have a technician come out and check the towers. I mentioned this forum and the rep said to advise all other people experiencing problems to call in so that they have more reported cases for this unknown issue. I urge you to call. I got a credit on my bill as well as roll over minutes credited to my account and hopefully with a open case, something will get resolved. Start calling folks; that way they can't tell people the problem is with their device. Good luck!

You all might have already done this but it helps to shut your phone off and then turn it back on at least every other day. Sometimes my phone starts to act up but when I shut it off and then back on it fixes it.

I do this regularly too, as well as stay on top of software updates. I have had to do this even more here lately to try to get the service I pay for. It has only been a temporary fix. I have been with AT&T for 13 years and have NEVER had problems like this. They need to get it together.

This makes since. We live on the east side and all of my family's service is screwed up. My wife is a cell phone sales person and said there has to be enough people complain before something like this gets corrected. She is going to speak to some of her contacts today and see what happens. Very frustrating.

I have had AT&T for about five years and it is by far the fastest (Frankfort 3G coverage), Verizon doesn't even compare to it in speed measure, I get between 3.5 megs to 4.7 megs on average while Verizon's is around 1.5 at the most (checked on friends phone). And let's not even talk about Boost, Cricket, Virgin etc, their crappy edge service is worth nothing for moderate to extreme Internet users. You get what you pay for with AT&T and I have been satisfied, ATT will have HSPA+ soon (even though they claim they have it in ffort already but it's really just a few neighborhoods as of yet) which will give speeds around 6-7 megs which is extremely good for a city a size of Frankfort. All of what I said about services is for the city of frankfort only, obviously Verizon and AT&T and Virgin with 4G LTE service in bigger markets is the best but that won't be in Frankfort for atleast a decade lol.

A few weekends ago I was having problems with at&t & they'd say the same thing "towers down, fixing them" as much as we pay for service they shouldn't never have a tower down...

Honest Guy. I am just talking about the current problems some have been having the past few days. I have been pleased with at&t until this past week. When my family and I cannot talk on our phones, going on 4 days now, I want to know what is being done to fix it. So far there seems to be no urgency from them to take care of it.

That is an outright lie.

My friend at work has a Verizon 4G LTE droid. he will pull 20-22Mb/s while my AT&T phone struggles to get 2 on the east side, but will pull 3.5 on the West side. His phone downloads so fast on verizon, the damn lights go dim.

AT&T blows.

lol. Impossible. 20-22 mb is LTE speeds which doesn't exist anywhere in Kentucky, so either your friend lives in certain markets (cities) that currently has LTE service or he was on his WiFi when he showed you his speeds. AT&T throttles your speeds after you reach your 3GB/month quota, even for grandfathered in unlimited Internet accounts like myself. But until I do reach that quota of 3GB, it's always around 3.5 to 4.7 Megs. Btw I'm on an iPhone 4s. The phone you have also makes a difference with speeds.

I completely understand, I would be mad as well and keep calling until they fixed it or lowered my bill for the inconvenience.

I just ran a speed test and am currently getting 3.36 Megs down and 2.16 upload and it's the end of the billing cycle. And this was on 4 bars of service.
