The State Journal has the listed of all salaries of the City of Frankfort Employees in Sunday, March 3 edition. Most (NOT ALL) are overpaid according to the SJ. My concern has to do with place of residence. Shouldn't the highest paid (top 20) and the department heads/directors be required to live in Franklin County?

The top brass are way overpaid. And several of the monkeys at the lower level are making too much also. For their job performance and work ethic I would let a few go, and sleep very good.

Can you believe that mess? That is why our taxes keep going up here in Frankfort and the plant board ripping people off. They got to give them lazy people raises for doing nothing. We need to petition the plant board and the city. Everyone of them need to be fired.

It is criminals everywhere. Those people don't have to worry about nothing and even the payroll taxes increasing because they are over paid. State workers don't get anything but also in the state alot of the non-merit need to be cut they are over paid. Criminals in all branches of government both locally and nationally.

They don't have to bother with the day to day price increases of everything. The common man won't be able to keep up.

I am glad they made it public and I hope the residents of Franklin/Frankfort realize what crooks we have in office and how they are overpaid for nothing.

You need to look at over staffing in County Government and their salaries.More staff since Ted went in and many unneeded positions as well.

Exactly, and it is a shame. They should not be paid those salaries. Have you noticed that the plant board keeps increasing every time we get a bill? You cannot tell me residents are using that much energy, water, and sewer. They are pocketing that money. If we had some good local representatives which I see we do not, they would petition and try to get another company here in this town to give the plant board competition and create jobs. They are not worried because they can afford their monthly bills they don't have to struggle. It is so sad how many evil criminals and pocketing government officials we have in office that do not help the common every day person and the ones who try to work to make a living.

It is a shame and even the clerks make more than I do and I have 20 years of state government experience. Frankfort is nothing but political corruption and high taxes. I hope everybody read it today. This is the kind of situation we all as residents need to come together about but on this site, people want to be racists, down grade folks, etc., instead of talking about things like this in the paper today and coming up with a solution.

It's a business. A business wouldn't be I'm business if they didn't make money.
How dumb can you be?

Perk? I get health insurance a retirement and a sick day and vacation day a month. I have been there 9 years and have a bachelors degree and specialized training. I would call that a DECENT benefit package and my salary is between 32 and 34K a year. No, I do NOT make too much money. Don't judge all city employees by a few bad apples.

I don't know how accurate the SJ report was.... Anyone else notice that they said the median income for a person with an associates degree was $33,250 and the median for a person with a bachelors was $33,150?

Either way.... must be nice. I have a state job (9+yrs), a bachelors & a masters and am DEFINATLY under those 2 incomes. So much for those who think state workers are over paid!

Again I make between 32-34k. I am by no means over paid for what my job entails. Im not sure your position in the state, since we seem to have almost the years in and education, you are underpaid if you make less than 32k.

Some state workers are, but the vast majority are not overpaid. And there is not a lot of correlation between experience/degrees vs pay at any level, and jobs that require degrees don't necessarily require one in the field that the job is in, which is incredibly strange to me. I think in future generations they will have difficulty attracting college graduates at current pay levels and with no raises.

Actually, no I am not. I work during the evening hours. I do not have time to be on the Internet while at work. It isn't what I am paid to do.

I really don't understand why they get to drive City owned vehicles home from work. That should stop.

The same reason FPB officer Schneble drives his FPB cruiser home at night...all the way to Oldham County...
