What are your thoughts? It seems there is a lack of security over there.

Well.... what kind of security are you thinking is lacking? We've never had any issues there in the 3 years my daughter has been going there.

When I drop my son off no one is at the front desk and when i pick him up they don't ask who i am or who i am here to pick up. Who is to say i couldn't take someone else's kid if they don't know me from Adam.

Not to be rude, but just ask someone in charge at the YMCA! Also if you are so concerned why did you drop you child off in the first place then leave??

Um, it's that thing called work-you ever heard of it? Besides, I am PAYING them my money to WATCH my kid...i shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job.

I'm sure Emily would be more than happy to address any concerns that you have. I guess it depends on what time you drop your child off and pick them up. Someone is almost at the front desk when I go, usually Jennifer. The techers get to know the parents pretty quick, are you thinking maybe they should be ID'ing you every time you pick your child up?

One teacher recognizes me but the "office staff" doesn't have a clue nor are they helpful. I went in to drop off an immunization form and pay the registration fee and there were 3 people at the front desk-one reading, one on the computer and another sitting on the floor. I told a 4th one what I was there for and she took my form but never told me where to put my payment, finally after a few minutes, someone hollered from the back where to drop it off. I haven't even been told what my weekly rate is for their services. That seems poor business practices to me....I drop my son off at 6:45am, no one told me he had to be signed in or out, taken to a different classroom until other teachers got there. It's not been a great first week for either of us.

I picked my sisters kids up there last week and i had to go through the 3rd degree! I was happy to show my ID to 3 different people before getting the kids out the door and there were 2 people at the front desk and a third person took me to both kids rooms to pick them up. I think the place is great!

Evidently this person has not looked into other child care around Frankfort; otherwise she would be very appreciative of the child care that she is receiving at the Crayon Club. The staff at the center are very well educated and follow policy and procedures to the T. However no there is not going to be a person sitting at the front desk all day long because the office staff (Emily and Jennifer )like to stay involved with the staff and the children of the center. Any person that is not recognized by the staff are always asked to show an i.d. and then the staff check it with the child’s file. All new parents are always given a tour and of the building and introduced to the staff, the parent is shown where to sign the child in and out where to place payments and given all the necessary paperwork. There is always someone around to answer questions or take care of any concerns.

Well sweetie perhaps the best thing you could do would be to (A) take your child to one of Frankfort's many other quality chilcare providers (extreme Sarcasm). (B) Talk to the director or assistant director about your concerns instead of being a gossiping, trouble starting, annoying problem.(C) My personal fave, Pull your child from the program and keep your know it all behind at home with your child.

I sure do know Ms. Heather. She used to work in the baby room until she got in an accident and hurt her leg a few months ago. She took care of my son and was wonderful. She was always happy to see her babies come thru the door, and was ready to help someone. I absolutely love her and hope she comes back soon.

I have taken my son to the crayons club for 2 years now and it has been the best thing I have ever done. I have no doubt that all the staff have my child's and every child's best interest at heart. meme and jenn jenn are great and they are very involved in the classrooms and I'm sure if you speak to them about any concerns you are having they would be glad to address them.

Hey there Life Sucks, if she means so much to you why don't you just go claim her? You know sweep her off her feet, with flowers or a stuffed animal or something like that. That's how I got the mother to my beautiful baby boy. Ms. Heather deserves a real good fella. Hope this helps you out. I am a hopeless romantic what can I say?
