The Kentucky Hunting and Fishing Question will appear on the November 6, 2012 general election ballot in the state of Kentucky.
The amendment they are proposing would guarantee that hunting and fishing will never be outlawed in Kentucky unless a statewide vote is held.
The proposed amendment reads: The citizens of Kentucky have the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife, including the use of traditional methods, subject only to statutes enacted by the Legislature and administrative regulations adopted by the designated state agency to promote wildlife conservation and management and to preserve the future of hunting and fishing. Public hunting and fishing shall be a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife. This section shall not be construed to modify any provision of law relating to trespass or property rights.

Please vote "YES" on this amendment on November 6th.

Ah, dont matter what we think as hunters. KDFWR will still tell u how its gonna be, still use our money to let non-residents hunt the elk we paid for and let some poeple spend our money on trips all over the U.S. b.s. Only when KDFWR is state funded and controlled will hunters see a change. I myself am tired of seeing the same people getting drawn for elk hunts over and over because they run a hunting store or because their papaw owned some land in eastern ky. My boat stays mostly in TN and it will remain registered there till we start catching some fish and stop the 4000 tournaments a week on our lakes where when its all over, all u see r dead fish floating all around the weigh in dock. Where's KDFWR at when all those fish r dying while someone goes home with a bloated head and a little extra cash in their pocket. Yea, theres the rest of the story. Its great to b a veteran, knowing i fought for my "freedom of speech".
