It's the same thing as the other buffets! I was hoping for something a little more unique but the buffet is a clone of the others in town. I was very disappointed.

No wonder it is the same they just moved from over by Kroger West to the site by KMart. We will never have "GOOD" restaurants. Shame you have to go to Lexington to get good food.

The hibachi-type grill offerings mimic what is available at the "Asian Buffet"...nothing new.

Wes's assessment is correct, imho, as the buffet is a clone of what has been previously available.

I was not impressed.

what do you expect their to be in frankfort, one of the finest asian cuisine's in the world...if u dont like it, screw it...whats the point of having opiniated discussions anyways? There's gunna be disagreements and have no points to prove.

I haven't eaten there yet but it seems all these Chinese Buffets are all the same. Even down to the desserts. Makes me wonder is all their foods come out of cans or boxes. All their menu's are the same. Don't get me wrong, I love the so called "Chinese" foods..........but they give me the back door trots, so I don't do them often.

It's not different! The flat grills are common place items you find in 40% of Chinese restaurants. Wes is right, though - it is the same damn thing served already. Go to Lexington, Louisville or Chicago and you will find true Chinese fare even on a buffet. This hick town will never get anything beyond what the lowest common denominator demands.

I liked it ok, we (Frankfort) still need a Cracker Barrel and Red Lobster maybe even a Rally's.

Got a new tire store across town not open yet, just down the road from the "mall", on the same side of the raod.

All the Chinese food on the buffets comes from the same Chinese food distributor. From that same distributor you can buy "Chinese-buffet-in-a-box ". They have different "levels" of food they sell. You can tell the level the restaurants use by the desserts. If they are totally cheap desserts, the restaurant is using the cheapest ingredients.

Cracker barrel and red lobster use the lowest quality ingredients. Cracker barrel is just a big steam table. My friend cooked there. It is all made the night before and sits on a steam table. Rally's is not opening new restaurants, they are nearly bankrupt.

What we really need are locally owned restaurants that serve something INTERESTING, not just the same food delivered by the Sysco truck and deep fried.

Walk down Bardstown Rd. in Louisville and look at how many good small restaurants there are.

YUP! Thanks for explaining! Been saying this for years, that is why all the crap at any (or most anyways) chinese buffet looks the same. China wok is really the only place in frankfort that throws any originality, custom home made touches to chinese food. And it surpasses all the others by far I believe.

As for the new super buffet over by Krogers east... I STAY AWAY!!!!!! the owners used to have another buffet here in town and it got shut down by the health depatment. Watch the papers and you will see that this one is not doing so great either.
