Montaplast

Frankfort, KY

#1 Mar 7, 2012
Emailed to parent company yesterday and got a answer back today stating this is not how montaplast treated employees and my compliant would be reviewed with the frankfort plant. I encourage you to send your emails to the email address listed below.

I understand times are hard and the common employee has no recourse to management ignoring employees that stand behind the company and show up for work everyday and represents the company with integrity. Monaplast recently posted several open positions on first shift to tease employees from less desired shifts (second, third) that there was an opportunity to transfer from one shift to the other, but then presents the lame excuse we have decided to hire new employees just because the insecurity of the floor managers ability to train for his shift or his inadequate abilities to release the employee and understand in the long run it makes him look better. The following is from the companies webpage - Montaplast would not exist without the knowledge and expertise of our employees. They are our true capital - and that is why we invest in them. It is said that Montaplast always succeeds - even when taking on seemingly impossible challenges. This is due to our employees. Montaplast offers a wide range of working possibilities in Morsbach (Germany), Frankfort (KY, USA), Detroit (MI, USA), or in one of our worldwide engineering and sales offices. Obviously, without insisting on financial discipline, reliable IT, and state-of-the-art equipment, we would not have come this far - but we know that itÂ’s the people who really make the difference here at Montaplast.
I would encourage the long-term employee that feel slighted to write an email to the parent company at the following address as I will forward this to the listed post on the personnel webpage [email protected]

In simple terms, this plant has one of the highest turn over rates in the central Kentucky area.

@Mee, there are many people who have been there a long time. It is however true that Montaplast has a very high turn over rate, I was hired about 3 years ago and there is a 700+ difference in my employee # to the new employee numbers being given out. If you really are an employee @Mee then you know the employee #'s are progressive. a difference of 700 employees in 3 years???? That being said @Montaplast, I am not sure why you took an interest in this cause, I appreciate it but as one of the employees that have been slighted several times including this last time. I am already working on leaving the company. Nepotism is what is killing the Montaplast dedication to Quality.

Montaplast has always been dirty like that and if you haven't realized that in your three years that's your fault. Haven't you learned yet that the reasons why they have such a turnover rate is cause people like you wanna complain instead of just going to work and doing your job? I only wish I still had my job there supporting my family so shut the hell up and focus on your cycle times and goals and you won't have nothing to worry about!!

@puhleeze, One Nepotism is Illegal, there are state laws about it.Two no it hasn't taken 3 years to figure it out, it's just taken this long for the economy to crank back up to where there are other jobs out there now. Three you want your job back? They are hiring again now, if you left in good standing then they should hire you back. If you didn't leave in good standing then shut the fux up because obviously you didn't know how to handle the situations out there in order to keep your job. Not everyone was born to be a punk as$ B!+C# and get their knees dirty all the time.

Lol! You crack me up, I knew all too well how to do my job out there and could do Any and Every job out there.that's not the point.the point is that I keep seeing Montaplast name wore out on Topic when it's all about this that BS. And it always boils down to the fact that nobody wants to work because they're upset cause someone's either got it better or easier. Do your job and shut the he'll up.

Talk about cracking up, if you were that good, why aren't you still there....I smell BS. So that's not the point, your right it's not. Why did you even reply to this post? Did you not read the first post? Someone did something for someone else and they did it because they knew it was wrong. I replied not to complain to just to say, they didn't need to that I was already working on finding another job. If you don't like something change it. so Topix Troll go find another thread to complain about someone else posting on here. The only only one who needs to shut the fux up is you, for getting into a conversation you evidently don't know anything about or what is going on...TROLL B!+c#.

I'd like to keep my head but I have a question...Why would they lay somebody off, let them draw unemployment and hire new people? Why not transfer that person to another position? Would it not be easier and more cost effective to retrain an existing employee? After all they already know the rules and would only need to be trained for that job? Is there a Union there?

I will say they do what they wantb to in there,People put in for jobs in a department and instead of letting someone from another shift go to first they put the person that put in for a job on another shift.Time doesnt mean anything there its all in who u know. People get taken off the forktrucks for accidents then they are given another job driving one its all in who u know.

been there many years seen over 2,000 come and go. this is not the perfect place to work. many of the things said here are true. their opinion of employees is"if you don't like it quit there are lots of people standing in line to take your place" this was stated by Christian in a company meeting several years ago and is still true. however there are some positives steady work clean working conditions for the most part, and decent benefits. what is lacking is their commitment to the employees everything is discipline for the mistakes but never rewards for the right.
