wow are tax money is going to some great causes....I know so many young people poppin out babies and know exactly what to do to beat the system so that they get the works! I am so glad they are considering drug testing these people. I know girls who work just so many hours a week, Dont claim their "baby daddy" who lives with him and say they live alone so they get section 8 foodstamps and medical card you name it. Then you have moms who work their ass off them and their spouse and pay all their bills and get in a slump and cant even get a little assistance. I work everyday and have insurance and granted I dont have any kids but you know what I know I cant afford it right now and I dont expect others to take care of my child for me. Its one things to have one child you cant take care of but 1,2,3 even 4 cmon give me a fuckin break. I was brought up in a family that works and we dont exactly beleive in all this welfare. I think its ok to help if you are working and absoultly need it but these moms you get assistance and always got their nails done, new shoes and makeup, getting their hair colored and treated its plum sickening!

People need to get involved and start turning these people in. I know not much will happen BUT if you keep doing it...it will cause those mothers to have to pack up and kind of hide all their mens belongings lol I mean hell what else do they have to do....

There isn't legal weed in Kentucky and welfare affects everyone because it comes out of our taxes.

I hope you're still in school. Please pay attention in your writing class. They can teach you how to spell words so you can fill out your assistance forms.

lol...Acually hunny it does affect everyone b.c as fluffy pup says it comes out of taxes alot of it! The average person pays HUNDREDS of dollars a month in taxes which im not complaining on taxes b/c that is indeed something that has to be done. I am complaining about the crazy shit it is used for. As for going to school...thats great if you are b.c edu is important but who do think is paying for that hun???? I am sure you are getting a pell grant or something of the sorts ....do you think money for that magically appears??????????

It is the tax payers business if people are abusing the system. Most of these people have never worked to actually see the amount of money that gets taken out of our checks. Maybe if they had to give half of there food stamp money away they would understand.

50% of your taxes go to fund war. So your not going to bitch about that too. And even if no one was on assistance do you think the government would tax you less. wake up.

But the people who do work cant get more hours go to school and try like everyone else does deserve it and what about people who are disabled and cant work and has to get food stamps and has kids and needs ins. for them. are u complaining about that too? its life you cant change it and even if drug testing is passed for welfare theres other drugs out there that are undetectable after up to a week or even a day. theres gonna be ways around it just like everything else in life. theres ways around it

I agree, I work everyday. Because I worked all through my life I have a good job. When I started I worked at McDonalds, the grocery, farm and several other jobs and have been employed snce I was sixteen never without a job. I heard a young man say lastweek that he would not work in a fast food resturant because it did not pay enough, but it was more than he was making with no job. I'm tired of "TAKING OUT THE TRASH".

You are not able to get a second or 3rd job if u got kids to care for and dont want to ditch em off on babysitters 16hrs a day. where would the stability come from? one parent dead another works 16+ hrs how would that b a good thing? and theres alot of disabled young people who cant work too cancers back problems physical diformaties...... not all young people can work even if they have and edu to and want to. drug heads should deff work if nothings wrong with them but even disabled people are drug dealers

As a single widowed mother, I worked for a year and a half after my husband died. I then quit eork so that I could be home with my then 6yr old son, who was having a hard time with his dad being gone. We both receive Survivor's Benefits and I now work an 8-5 Monday thru Friday job, on addition to some weekend work. The yr and a half I wasn't working so that I could stay home with my son, I tried applying for government assistance, but was told I "made" too much money. I didn't "make" anything...it was supplied to my son and me because my husband worked from the time he was 16 until he died at 41. I then found myself in a bit of a bind, so I went back to work so that we could at least have health insurance. Whenever I get a raise at work, I get penalized by the government for that. They stop my Survivors Benefits, which I depend on to support us. It seems that the people that get up and are working every day get the shit end of the stick for trying to better themselves, when really all you have to do is sit on your ass and pop kids out, using them as "meal tickets" to more government assistance. The more kids you have, the more money you get. How unfair is that? And before all of you who are sitting in front of your computers that were paid for by something other than hard work get on your high horses trying to defend your right to mooch off the system, I worked at the food stamp/medicaid office and know that there are those that abuse the system. It is not your RIGHT to be coddled and catered to by the system. It is your responsibility to get your ass out and earn a living like the rest of us. Deadbeats.

Even people who want to work 15 hrs a week have a good reason. like staying home with their young kids. i dont see anything wrong with doing that til they are old enough to go to kindergarden. even as a single parent.
