You should go inside the lobby with your commitment order and give it to someone at the glass window, they will have you go around to the door next to the big garage door and they will bring you in, search you and book you in. You should wear solid white socks(no names on them) white underwear and white t-shirt without pockets. They will give you an orange jumpsuit to wear. That is all you can take back with you. No hairbrushes, no deodorant, and no shampoo. When you arrive they will give you a COLD lice shower, no choice, you have to take it, a small toothbrush, Bob Barker soap. toothpaste, a towel and a mat/blanket. Yes they let inmates watch the games depending on what channel it comes on. Stay to yourself, I mean avoid the officers, they think they are Gods, some of them anyway. Some of them are ok but it is hard to tell the difference.

1 thing i do not understand is why women guards is aloud in the tower where all the men is at?And of course the men will walk right out of shower naked.Boy i bet them women see more men naked then most people see in a life time.

Women are allowed to work in the tower but are not permitted to go into the pods unless they have a male officer with them. If that were the worst things the women officers ever saw they would be doing good. People on suicide watch are not given clothes so everyone sees it all and that is sickening.

Women officers can be in the tower because the male inmates are not to be exposed when exiting the shower. Suicide watch inmates are given special clothing that doesn't always do a
great job of covering them but they are covered. Unless there is a special circumstance suicide watch observations are done by an officer of the same sex.

Only when the inmate chooses to wear it, those paper gowns are torn up and thrown in the floor. And as far as special circumstance would be "short staffed" How they think they can run that facility with only 6 and even sometimes 5 officers on duty amazes me, but that would be administration's doing.

Yeah but the thicker green velcro suicide prevention gowns are much better. As far as choice of wearing it, thats on them but if they choose to be naked and a female officer would happen to see them its their fault. Privacy seemed to be one of the major concerns in the original post about the female tower officers. Special circumstances don't always have to be short staffed. Like a code would be a special circumstance that I was referring to. Even in short staffed situations you can usually manage a female and male booking officer to do rounds.

Yeah, when the supervisors get upset about having to put someone on watch they only give them the paper gowns. If someone comes in off the street and just gets put on the watch then they might get the turtle suit but it still depends on what kind of mood the supervisor is in. While I was there if they were short staffed they would have whoever was in booking at the time do the watches around PC just because it was easier.

What are you talking about when you say commitment order? I didn't get anything except for the judge telling me what date and time I should show up at the jail. How many people are inside a pod? Is there anything to do in there at all to pass the time, or do you pretty much have to just lay around and try to sleep the time away. I guess they'll hold on to your personal belongings until you are released? I've only got 3 days so hopefully it will go by fast.

I would stay up the night before that way you can sleep most of the time. They do have Tv to watch and cards to play. The Pod size just depends on how many inmates they have. Usually weekends are busy. I would think that what the judge gave you would be the commitment order.

When they let me out of jail they said I still owed a $30.00 booking fee. When do I have to pay that by? They let me out without having to pay it and just handed me a statement showing my balance and I just noticed when I got home that it says I still owe $30. If I don't pay that after a couple of days will they come throw me back in the slammer?

no, but if you go back to jail and are trying to bond out then it will be added to your bond. That is just another way for someone to pad their pockets. So they will be fine with you owing it to them.

LOL LOL HA HA I`ve been skimming throught this post an reading some of the things people put on here. and I just love how some think they are just so abused when they go to jail. Well listen people, JAIL aint no vacation, you dont get every thing when you want it. You people think that your special an deserve special treatment. Well you dont, you broke the law, and the officers at that jail "DIDNT ARREST YOU" or did they "SENTANCE YOU THERE" so I wish you all would stop trying to say its the officers fault that your there. My spouse works at the jail and from reading what "former officer" has been saying I`m sure that you have worked along side my spouse. My spouse comes home an talks about the things they are called and the stuff they have to put up with when they deal with those inmates. Now I will say that my spouse says that some inmates are just fine and they have no problems with them at all. Im talking about the ones that think they are "owed" something, all the ones who bitch an gripe at the officers, an say that they are treated unfairly and that they didnt do anything. If you want to do that, do it to the police officer that arrested you or the judge that sent you there. To the ones that just "messed up" and ended up having to spend some time in jail and didnt bitch an gripe about it, I`m sorry about your luck and I hope you dont have to go back an maybe you learned a lesson, its the ones that are always bitch an gripe about things. To those I say " Get out, Get a job, and GET A DAMN LIFE !

Jails and Nursing Homes

Is this the way it should be (I THINK NOT!)

Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes.
This would correct two things in one motion:
Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.
They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical
Treatment, wheel chairs, etc.
They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.
They would have constant video monitoring, so they would be helped instantly...
If they fell or needed assistance.
Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.
A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.
All meals and snacks would be brought to them.
They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.
They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education....and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally recognized entertainment artists.
Simple clothing - I.e.. Shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free,
upon request.
There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.
Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.
They would receive daily phone calls.
There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the ACLU would fight for their rights and protection.
The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families
from abuse or neglect.

As for the criminals:
They would receive cold food.
They would be left alone and unsupervised.
They would receive showers once a week.
They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000 per month.
They would have no hope of ever getting out.
"Sounds like justice to me!"

I went there to pick up a friend. They are the biggest asses in the world. They jumped on me for parking in some spot. They then told me to leave because I was blocking the big guys car and the loading dock. When I took pictures with my iPhone they treated me like a criminal. They wouldn't give me there names. Then stopped me from leaving. they think they are above everyone else. They are lacking in common manners, and very lacking in training to say the least. They then banned me from the place for life. Big deal!,,, when does then jailer come up for reelection. It's time to deal with this shit at the grass roots level.

I am sure that things are tough on the guards. I am sure that they work very hard. My concern is that when a judge grants a man work release and he gets turned down at the jail, why did you need a judges order for work release if it is up to one person at the jail that approves or denies the inmate. When someone goes in that has a family to support and they don't get thier work release it really puts a hardship on the family. Ten years ago there were 12 - 15 people on work release. Now out of all the people in that jail there is one! If the judge grants them work release then he is saying that it is okay for them to take care of thier family and be incarcerated. The jail shouldn't deny a working man the right to take of his family, especially if the inmate has followed EVERYONES rules. I just don't understand and no one cares to explain it.
they should have been at home with their families not out getting in trouble they dont deserve shit....
