Look, a**hole. We pay for the service. They have an obligation to get it right. If they can't they need to stop taking the offending ads. It is that simple!

How sad !!
Au contraire, mon frère! This is far from the worst thing in my life and I've never had an easy life. But, I digress, this has been a problem for a long time and definitely not just here in Podunk Frankfort. Why do you think Congress passed a law?

Let me give you an example of why this is a problem. Say I work 2nd shift and don't get home until 12:30am. I'm not going straight to bed so I stay up and watch tv until 3am or 4am. I live in an apartment with neighbors on both sides of me and above me. The one's above me have children and an infant and I can hear them moving around when they are up so I'm sure they can hear me sometimes. I respect my neighbors so during those wee hours of the morning when most people are asleep I try to keep the volume on my tv at a minimum (usually 5). Then out of the blue one of these high volume commercials come on and it sounds like I've turned the volume up to 15. And since these cheap a$$ locally produced commercials have a horrible taste in music with a heavy bass beat I'm sure it sounds like thunder to my neighbors.

Like I said, this isn't just a Frankfort problem, its nationwide so I expect FPB to comply with the law so I don't wake up the baby upstairs or the 70 year old granny next door at 4am.

Now, politely go F*ck yourself.

Exactly, you are paying for a service. When I pay for a service that is sub-par, I stop paying and find a replacement.

IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

Why you mad at me because on a monthly basis YOU chose to pay for a service that YOU are not happy with?

Either suck it up, or take your money else where. That is one of the founding principals of capitalism. If FPB starts losing customers and revenue, they will step up their game. I left FPB 6 years ago and have never looked back. They are the worst cable company I have ever dealt with personally.

I pay a little more for Dish, but my picture quality is FAR better. I do not get loud commercials.

I love Dish.(directtv is good as well, just look at their line up and see which fits best) I get true 1080P HD channels, PPV, music, its nice. FPB was, probably still is, 720P HD. There is no comparison. Many times their 720P is sub-par as well. There is nothing more annoying than buying an expensive TV only to have a crap signal. Much like buying a Ferrari and driving it on a gravel road.

Please don't ask FPB to fix anything - that'll just give them another reason to up the cable rates!

I get that commercials generate revenue for the Plant Board and the Vender purchasing the advertisment space. The Vender Yelling at me to make sure I hear their Advertisment. Does not make me want to jump up and support them with my money. I jump for the mute button or a new channel. I refuse to listen to or spend money with any company that insists on yelling at their potential customers.

Many newer televisions can automatically reduce sudden loud noises. Check you settings.

The problem is 100% fixable, but it cost about 8000 big ones to fix. The know of the problem and have known since rebuilding the system as they have known how to fix it since the beginning. But there not going to for what ever reason move on and get dish, direct, uverse, move on already..
