I wish I knew more about your level of expertise on medicine and what degree(s) you have. I really don't think you know what you are talking about. If you did, then you would be more correct in the details of your story.
Furthermore, negative statements and comments are typical of ignorance. Sorry about the situation you have been through but, God decides your day and your way. It may have been that person's time to go.

To all those posting on here, I am glad you have a great opinion. I also had my child there and know how professional and knowledgable the staff are there. I was comfortable and it was more than I imagined. Thanks FRMC!

The ER... well, it really depends on who is on duty. I have encountered good and bad doctors there.

Cleanliness has been an issue there for me, too, even in the maternity ward. I mean blatant stuff like dirty clothes left behind by the previous occupant of the room. Stuff that makes you wonder about how much cleaning has been done before you were put into that room.

I had all my kids there and was treated wonderfully. The nurses were all friendly and helpful. I have no complaints about any of the time I spent there nor their handling of my babies. I can't vouch for the rest of the hospital but the maternity ward is wonderful!!!!

Bull cracks me up.
But you better pull over and type before you kill someone, or worse, end up at FRMC.

<quoted text>Try going to the U.K. Med. center and see how long your butt is in the emergency room! It could be two days! Be thankful for what you have! I am sure all hospitals have problems, but you have to realize the procedures which take time and careful diagnostics!
There is really no reason why it should have taken so long. the longest ive waited at UK is about 3.5 hours, and there's alot more people at UK, than there is FRMC.

I went to FMRC for both of my daughters. My oldest was delivered by Dr. Hall from women's care, he was great, friendly too. My youngest was delivered by Dr. Horn, these are my top two docs to see if I get pregnant again. The nursing staff was amazing with my girls and with me, no complaints at all. One thing I didn't like the first time around, they had a shift change and though Dr Wainwright started my labor, he left and Dr. Hall took over. Other than that minor detail, I've never had any complaints over wainwright though. Dr. Horn is my favorite because he took the time to involve my husband and make him feel more comfortable during my exams, where as most of the others acknowledged him but didn't say much of anything to him.

I had 2 wonderful experiences there. With our 2nd child I do remember one nurse that we called Miss Thang behind closed doors because her bedside manner was that of a drill sargent but she did her job well. The rest of the nurses had wonderful bedside manner, as well, as personality. I adore Dr. Hall & the other associates at Womens Care.

No UK is NOT the best hospital at all! I worked there and would never go back and needless to say that while I was there, after being sick for sometime, I had all my medical records and found that back in May when I was being treated for "pneumonia" that my records showed a mass in my broncial airway and " should be followed up" and never was and not I sit with stage 4 cancer from my lung to my spine and now on my brain. So UK is NOT the best hospital at all. I seen MANY mess up's while I was there. But you cant take them to court because they are a learning hospital and no judege will let them even attempt it. I guess there would be to many to handle if we could file against them. BUT rest assured that if it was one of their familys that was done the way that I was done, they would see that it was taken care of.

Just because it is a learning hospital that doesn't mean you can't sue them. If there is a 'should be followed up' on your chart, somebody saw it and failed to inform you to get a follow up. Where there is a 'student' there is a 'teacher' supervising. Sue them because they showed gross neglect.
