FRMC killed my son last year! I was in there to deliver my son and there was only one dr. on the labor and delivery floor and it just so happened another women was at the same point of labor I was and they found that her baby had her cord around her neck so they rushed her to the operating room for a c-section and I was there ready to have my baby alone with my husband and mother, no dr. or nurse to check on my son and sadly his cord was around his neck and body too but by the time a nurse and dr. got to my side it was too late my son was suffocating! My husband had even asked the nurses that night if they could call my Dr./midwife Katie Issacs in but they declined because they said they were very slow that night! My son did not have oxygen for about 4 and a half minites and he came out purple, not breathing and brain dead! They did resuscitate him and we sent him to Kosair were he passed at 36 hours old because there was nothing else they could do! Kosair was amamzing!"Thank you Kosair" FRMC on the other hand is a piss poor hospital that I woulnt even take one of my animals to! Thanks alot FRMC, you suck!

The one thing that I don't like about the hospital is the remodeling they have done. They now have the registration in the front of the hospital. What happened to the registration in the emergency room section? I was at the hospital yesterday and there was a lady on a stretcher and two EMT's bringing her in. In the front of the hospital. That's not a very sanitized place to be when your sick or healthy. I don't want to get sick as soon as I walk in to a hospital because they bring all the sick people in the front of the hospital. THAT IS VERY STUPID!! The waiting room is always so full and loud that it makes me sick to even go in that place. It's so crowded. Also, what is up with the cafeteria? They only stay open a few hours for lunch and a few hours for dinner. The hospital never closes, why does the cafeteria. There are always people that are gonna want to eat something while at the hospital visiting patients. Not just lunch and dinner.

They could have done more. You need to start a malpractice suit. I was born 30 years ago and I also had the cord around my neck. I don't understand why they thought a C-section was necessary...they could have just cut the cord, right? Then they denied bringing in more help, WTF?

Noooo, they couldn't have cut the cord because you would have bled to death 30 years ago.

Well FRMC is known for their general ineptness and abundance of unnecessary procedures to gouge you for extra money, so I had to ask.

I have had excellent experiences with frankfort regional. They saved my life took excellent care of me and have taken excelent care of all my kids. The ER is way faster thern anywhere..go sit in lexington for 4 hours or shelby for 3 bleeding. Please take a fresh look at frmc there have been many changes. I'm sorry people have had bad experiences..it is true for all hospitols though.

I agree with post ghost, especially on 3rd shift when there's no supervision of employee behavior. I've been the "watch person" many times when various nurses, doctors, etc decide to "get in on in a room." Don't forget about the lesbian nurses, they are screwing many (hot) straight women on 3rd shift too, it's a freaking party!
Who are the lesbian nurses there??

What happens when you go to FRMC with two broken legs? They refuse to give you crutches, and tell you to take aspirin for pain even after they look at your xrays of broken bones. So, I've just been laid up in bed for four days. Since I can't drive with two broken legs, I have to wait until this weekend for someone to take me to a good hospital.
I call her SUXena, as she caused so much pain from a pap smear that I threw up during it, and bled heavy with labor like pains for two weeks. Dr. Wainwright was an angel, though. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to perform my hystorectomy last December. I've only heard one person complain of Dr. Wainwright, and that was because he wouldn't give her percocets for mild cramps. If I were a doctor, I would do just as he did - and give her muscle relaxers for mild cramps, not pain pills.

You must know someone there or kin to one of the nurses or docs one would better off going to another ER. I was there one day (2008) which was the last for over nine hours. They were unorganized and they did not seem to know what was going on. I finally just walked out. I have heard of people doing that and did not understand, but I do now.

my daughter had the cord around her neck x 2. I'll never forget "stop pushing ! cord around the neck times 2 !" . Do you know it took all of my strength and will power to stop pushing ? Anyhow, the doctor applied 2 clamps on the cord, severed it between the clamps, didn't bleed to death, and that was over 30 yrs ago.

As for FRMC, I don't think the problem is the quality of the facility or the nurses - it's the doctors, and not all of them. Some should be in a different field, like corn or tobacco.

The doctors in the ER are ok, but I hate waiting forever to see them. I go to Dr Yamraj's office in the Medical Pavilion Building.

There are nurses in LD that are lesbian....and those who dabble in the girl on girl love, but remain straight and pretty much heterosexual. I'm not one to call someone out or tell their business, so I won't name names. Here's a hint, she's attractive but cocky (which is off putting), excellent at what she does in the nursing profession, and won an award for her job performance.

why do you all care what they do on their free time. As long as it doesnt affect the job that they do? This nurse that you are bashing, that looks like a tomboy, really who cares! I dont know her outside frmc, but when my daughter was born with a serious infection last sept. she was one hell of a nurse. SHE saved my daughter's life. There is a reason as to why her picture is on that wall, and its is not because she is a average nurse. Its because she is a great nurse that has a heart and loves her job. Apparently you have not seen her in action, b/c if she took care of your sick baby in a time that was so desprately needed, you would eat those nasty words of yours.

oh if Frankfort had about 100 more nurses like her, the name of Frmc would be in better shape
