You know, he wasn't there writing citations because he had nothing better to do. He was probably there at the request of a complaint from the store, a customer(s) and/or maybe he was tired of seeing lazy/law breaking people park there. He asked you a simple question..."can you read"? He might then have asked if you knew what the sign meant that you were parked in front of? If you didn't, then he might have sited you to court and requested the judge have you retake the written driver test. That would be a lot of days off work and court fees….Also, you should be ashamed of yourself for parking there and then having then nerve to degrade Tpr. Wheeler for doing his job. One more thing genius… you could’ve went to Walgreens or McDonalds and parked right in front of the Redbox and in a legal PARKING SPOT. HERE’S YOU SIGN!!!!

You're a moron. Probably a criminal who hates police because they stop you. Better to look up to them than a piece of crap like you. FU

Well some may be good ones, But the ones I have seen in KY. are not worthy of any respect/ because they dont give it. A prime example is Sutton with FPD..you cant tell me he is not a total jerk, and not just because he is a cop if you want to call him that. He really thinks he is adolph hitler (a dictator)And we all have to respect him or else.

I have to agree with this person,Sutton is a total jerk. He is going to get the city a hefty lawsuit. He needs to tone it down about 10 notches.

So you parked in a place where you knew you shouldn't, and then got mad because the cop was a smartass? Do you think that you are better than everyone else to be able to park in a fire zone with your flashers on when it is raining and NOT be ticketed if a cop is around? Arrogance much? You're right - people break laws all the time. But to be indignant about it when you get caught is stupid.

Lol. So, u know who I am, eh?? Who are you? Or are u too much of a puss to say on here? Ppl break laws all the time...let me guess, u have never gone a few miles over the limit, and u always come to a complete stop at every single stop sign? If so, here is a cookie and a certificate of appreciation. Just bc someone breaks the law (and I happened to have not been the only car with flashers in the fire zone, it was rainin n stormin) doesnt give the cop a right to be a dick. He is the professional in the situation. I asked his supervisor if the trooper had had to go thru diplomacy training, n he assured me he had. Then skip two days forward, the dumb fuck goes speeding past me with no lights or siren...he wasnt responding to a silent call bc I watched him turn into the post oa US60. So, guess who I called again? They think they can just be a dick to whomever bc they have a badge n gun. Had a bad day?? Well, guess what...maybe i'd had one, too? Thats not really an excuse. Respect me, and i'll respect you...the golden rule. Speaking of which...'slightly crazy lesbian'....all lesbians are crazy...you have to be, to survive in this fucked up judgmental place. Oh, let me guess, u call yourself a Christian, too, right?? Ashamed of myself?? Hardly...Im glad I had the guts to stand up for myself.

Again, hand me the citation....but keep your 'tude to yourself. As for my writing abilities, this is not exactly a master's thesis on the power dynamics of law enforcement officials. Not to mention, this IS Frankfort so I kinda have yo keep it simple, stupid (i noticed you had more grammatical errors n misspellings, yet were commenting on my writing, lol). However, I'm sure this is a strong correlation btw trooper attitude and outcome of the encounter with community members. The citation said 'non-prepayable,' that I would have to appear in court. Which is funny, bc I just went to the courthouse today and found out the total and that it CAN be prepaid, b/c the judge signed off on it. They can thank me for my donation to the city, and giving them something to do for work. As for not going to McDonalds...as I mentioned, it was storming/raining out. I chose wal-mart bc the redbox is covered. Didnt know about wal-greens one, but thx for the tip. Next time i'll park in Kroger's firelane where I can stand right next to my car outside on the sidewalk. ;) xoxo

Cops get a badge, cuffs, club, gun, n cruiser and boy, are they somethin' for 'Mommy' to be proud of.'Now,' they think,'people will REALLY respect me, and my authori-tah!' I'm just glad we're not in police state, or under martial law (although that's arguable). Sure, some join for noble reasons...then find out it's a good ole' boy network, just like politics or the military. Funny thing is, they all work for The Man. Their ultimate job is to prevent the poor from killing the rich....social anarchy in a dog-eat-dog world. They're all just tools, pawns. I found out a long time ago that they are not here to protect the freedom of speech of protestors with legitimate concerns, but to maintain the social pecking order. If I'd grown up black, I'm sure I would have figured this out even sooner.

So, perhaps someone on here can clear this up for me? Are troopers required to maintain a certain standard of physical fitness, or no?? I would think the dept. would require them to spend so many hours on the treadmill, in the event they have to go on a foot chase. I would also think their body-fat ratio would be kept below a certain percent, lest the trooper keel over of 'myocardial infarction' on said foot chase. Are the police fitness standards not as stringent as, say, the Nat'l Guard??

'Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power absolutely corrupts.'-J. Acton-Dalberg

So, if the police are invested and trusted with absolute power over others, who then 'polices,' or monitors the police??

As far as I know Troopers and local PD are required to pass a PFT every year; usually close to their anniversary date. Being overweight is not as big an issue for some as it is for others. If they can run, climb, and complete the required sit ups and push ups (all in a designated time period that is NOT based on age) they pass. In the past I have seen even grossly overweight Officers run much farther and faster than I can and I am 5'5" 120 lbs.

You still sound like someone who thinks they are privileged and should be allowed to park in a place that you already clearly know is someplace you should not park. Had it NOT been raining, would you have parked there? And what's wrong with getting your lazy "I'm afraid I'll get wet" ass out of your car from a designated parking place and going to the movie box? Lazy.

Most cops in small towns like this one are mommas boys, Their parents used their influence to get the job for them. Most of them still live at home with them, or next to them. I know of one that is still afraid of the dark(no joke). this is where the power kick comes into play.(They have been sheltered all of their lives).

Wheeler is not from this area, he just works it. Geez, he's about to retire so I'm sure he's not just looking to give bogus tickets nowadays because that means more work for him. Then again he could be for shits and giggles, regardless you were in the wrong so get over it!

How about you get over it? Really, they can do their jobs by handing out tickets n whatnot, without being a-holes.
