Did you really have to post that?

Did you really have to begin your name with "lol"?

Do you really think a failing business is funny?

Do you really want to know about an auction?

I bet you don't have a quarter to buy a meatball for your pie hole, so don't worry about an auction!

Yes, they are closing, per the man who rang us up last night. Last night was our first visit, and I'm just surprised they've lasted this long. We paid over $18 for my husband, myself, and our four-year-old, but quickly requested and rec'd a refund when we decided we could not eat at such a filthy and disgusting place. The plates were wet, and there was even food on one of the so-called clean plates. There was no food, and the salad bar was a total disaster--food strewn everywhere. One lady at the pizza buffet was clanking her fork on the counter, demanding more food, and the huge, grungy employee looked like he hadn't bathed in weeks. It was just GROSS!!! We felt like we needed a shower when we left, and we never even sat down.
did you walk to this establishment often? did they accept your food stamps?

I think you'll find the answers to your schizophrenic-like questions in my post above. And, no, we're not on food stamps--as much as B.O. wishes we were.

<quoted text>That may have been part of the problem but $2.4 mil mortgage was the big nut. Somebody didn't do the math. That business model was made up by somebody on mind altering drugs. And a loan officer that is either stupid as hell or got a kickback. jmo
Part of the problem with the mortgage was the fine Frankfort Planning and Zonning. Once you are in so deep, you cannot back out. Frankfort Planning and zonning kept forcing expenses on the owner during the building phase that drove cost up unnecessarily.

One which is particularly stupid, was P&Z MADE him put Windows on the BACK side of the building. Really? What genius thought this was a good idea? This required changes to the building plans and addition, unneeded expense and a higher mortgage.

Look at all he shrubs that were planted. Again, not needed and a stupid P&Z requirement. So the owner takes what used to be a sh!t hole and an eye sore, makes improvements and then P&Z wants all this extra "beautification" done. Getting that ugly ass gravel place out of there alone was an improvement.

P&Z should give new developments like that a break, especially when there is a sh!t hole on both sides of the building and where a nice building and green grass alone is a huge improvement over what was there before. Give the business a reasonable time frame to complete these things. Or better yet, go around and make the city control all the weeds that grow all over the place around our public road ways. If we would just keep what we have CLEAN, it would be a nice improvement.

I would like to know how much all the P&Z BS added to his cost. I bet you can account for $200K or more in additional expenses.

P&Z sucks.

Look at what the dentist did with his building on main st entering crestwood, he really did refurbish and then look at the dump across from it. Frankfort property maintenance code violations. tree limbs hanging down in street and construction dumpster sitting with garbage in it for months. Crestwood residents need to turn that owner in.

That we have such dumpy areas with p.o.s. buildings on and around downtown, sidewalks by the school that the kids cant even ealk on without falling down and plazas like "big lots" but the City wastes its time pulling up yard signs

Yes Century plaza is owned by group out of New York or New Jersey . They need to remodel the fronts of some of the businesses. Hell, this is the state capital and a bunch of slum lords need to stimulate the economy and spend some $$$$$$

par for the course. Look at all the fat porkers walking around. It amazes me that parents let kids eat whatever the hell they want, become obese and a burden to society that has to pay for their health issues later in life. then again..monkey see, monkey do.
They should introduce a FAT TAX during next month's session. If an individual chooses to live an unhealthy lifestyle they should pay for that. Have another slice fatso.

The big lot area really does need a remodeling. So ugly back there. A lot of buildings look like they r about to fall apart! It is the capital and it should be nothing but beautiful!
Cant they start digging lines underground? In europe everything is underground and they hardly ever have power outages, I say when a line goes down and needs to b fixed just put it in the ground! Makes everything prettier too!
