I also see no reason for the kids on the bus to lie about the number of slices. However, I can see a child tell its mom a different number in order to avoid trouble.

My child got sick the same night but not sure if it was the pizza or not. I know there has been a bad stomach bug going around too.

My family loves Gatti's! As for me and mine, we'll keep going as long as pepperoni, half jalapeno, half banana pepper pizza keeps showing up on the bar. The kids love the movie, and game room, my wife and I love it because the kids almost always eat good.

Its about time. Now somebody can buy on courthouse steps for a reasonable price and reopen it and charge a reasonable price for the food.

Don't know who the lending officer is that made this loan lol but they need to find another line of work. Nobody in their right mind would make a loan on that business plan.

So which restaurant in Frankfort that you go to is actually cleaner? os it the only one you can afford
I go to restaurants that are capable of keeping their doors open...dikwad.

So it is closing......once again I was right. Sh!t service and sh!t food means no customers.

Nope. Food and service was fine by Frankfort standards. There were three things that prevented Gatti's from succeeding: location, location, and location.

I only ate there once, I thought that the service sucked, he food was ok at best and the attitude was sad. I said to my date this lace won't be open in a year. I was right.

I think if it was food poisoning you'd have more than two sick kids on the bus. More likely overeating or stomach virus.

I thought they were too expensive for the quality they served and the games they had. In this economy anyway. Once I wasn't even allowed to quickly drop off my kid in the party room. Either pay or have somebody come up and get him. Even if I wanted to stay and not eat, no dice.

I was there twice for parties. That's it. My kids liked the bumper cars but realized it wasn't much fun for how quickly it ran down their card for the little time they got.

Agree on this. Location was terrible. You forget it's even there. Out of sight, out of mind! They should have moved near kohl's on east side to be on people's radars!

It was printed in The State Journal this week. The owner is quoted as having said he's planning to possibly open in a smaller location.

The location was not great...
I would question the loan officer that approved the loan...
BUT, the people of Frankfort do not make it easy for a new business to start. Try getting them away from McDonald's, Hardee's, Big Boy and Shoney's with the few old customers that are true to Kountry Kitchen. Ever wonder why Dairy Queen doesn't serve breakfast? The one in Shelbyville does at a good price and a good product. Taco John tried breakfast with a choice of traditional breakfast or Mexician breakfast. No customers.
We went to a party there when they firsted open...The food was good, the staff was attentive and the place was packed. After that, I was in and out. The cashier could not take my order/money and did not stay around to learn when somebody else showed up. The bar was not stocked and I swear my pizza was smaller with the toppings cut. They did have a lot of employees walking around. Maybe the location was right for state employees, parties (parking and ease of getting there) with the right hours and labor force. Maybe he needed a good manager.
Working in food is not everybodies game and maybe he didn't know how to play.
Sorry it didn't make it because it started off good. The games didn't fly because...everybody knows we can't have anything in Frankfort/Franklin County for the kids. Let them go to Richmond and Lexington. Their parents will keep on hoping the neighbor doesn't know they are a little party animal. Guess what, the kids talk.

That may have been part of the problem but $2.4 mil mortgage was the big nut. Somebody didn't do the math. That business model was made up by somebody on mind altering drugs. And a loan officer that is either stupid as hell or got a kickback. jmo

Yes, they are closing, per the man who rang us up last night. Last night was our first visit, and I'm just surprised they've lasted this long. We paid over $18 for my husband, myself, and our four-year-old, but quickly requested and rec'd a refund when we decided we could not eat at such a filthy and disgusting place. The plates were wet, and there was even food on one of the so-called clean plates. There was no food, and the salad bar was a total disaster--food strewn everywhere. One lady at the pizza buffet was clanking her fork on the counter, demanding more food, and the huge, grungy employee looked like he hadn't bathed in weeks. It was just GROSS!!! We felt like we needed a shower when we left, and we never even sat down.
