Police rounding up 'untouchable' drug ring

Officers and deputies are looking for 27 people who were indicted Wednesday for engaging in organized crime with an alleged drug ring that began to surface more than two weeks ago.
After a six-month investigation, dubbed “Operation Untouchables,” by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, officials found that between December 2010 and January 2012 the alleged criminal syndicate imported about 36,120 oxycodone pills into Franklin County from Florida, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
The street value of the pills is about $1 per milligram.
Jason Ware, 37, of Frankfort, is the manager of the group, the sheriff’s office has previously told The State Journal.
Eight of the suspects were charged for engaging in organized crime more than two weeks ago.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Larry Cleveland and County Attorney Rick Sparks aided in the investigation.
The name of the investigation stemmed from a T-shirt the alleged members made showing a photo of the group with “Untouchables” printed across the front, according to the press release. Officials say they wore the shirts on many of the trips to obtain the pills at Florida pain clinics.
Sheriff Pat Melton has called a press conference to detail the arrests.

Wow! I can't call him Floyd The Flash anymore. Bellepoint will never be safe again until The Flash makes his triumphant return to his Bellepoint Kingdom. He's a first ballot hall of famer and I'm sure this is not right.
