Is it just me or has anyone else had to deal with these horrid people behind the counter selling stamps? I have never seen a service employee be such a straight out a--hole to every customer in line. I have to go there alot, and I see it on almost every trip up there. Rude, belittling, and unhelpful, that's when u can get them to stop talking to their family, friends, or coworkers long enough to help you. Seems like the person in charge up there would have to get complaints all day long. I hate going up there, someone should put those pissy face a--holes in their place.

Most of my visits to the Frankfort post office, including one last week, have been relatively benign. Sometimes the lines are long because they only seem to ever have 1-2 employees working, but those that are there have always been pleasant and professional to me.

I have used our local Post Office for over 40 years and yes I have been guilty at times of complaining as people sometimes do but I have also realized just how important these good folks are, the job they do is a hard one so unless you have walked in their shoes we should appreciate them for the vast good they do. I have sent literally thousands of parcels via the USPS and have rarely ever had any problems. Postal workers are no different then the rest of us, they have good days and bad days so try and limit your criticism for them just because your having a bad one. I applaud what they do and we should support them more then just complaining over trivial matters that in the end mean nothing. If you feel you have been wronged in some way speak with the Postmaster. And just for the record I do not and also have no family members who work for them but am just a consumer like most folks and I am quite pleased with the overall service they perform.

I also like my little Buddy Punjab have to frequent the Post Office quite often BUT I have never once had any of the problems my little buddy is speaking of. I always am greeted with a big smile and a Hello, but that's how I greet people as well so maybe it's just one of those things that our parents taught us when we were children, which is. "Treat people how you want to be treated".

The ones I've had to deal with are, they are continually rude, I am sure they do a service to the community, all I am saying is if you cannot even just do your job without being rude and disrespectful then they should be in the back sorting packages, and not allowed to be the face of the US Postal system. Just my opinion, and I've heard alot of the same.

Oh trust me I hear ya friend, like I said I have had those occasions as well with some who I found to be in a very bad mood and I understand your feelings quite well but I have found that overall 99% of those folks are pretty decent folk and I have been told by other postal employees that if you are having constant issues to talk to the Postmaster who I know was quite effective in resolving customer service related issues at least in the past. I know when I was working for a local business and one who had to deal with lots of different people I found it very difficult at times to keep a friendly face but many times if the person kindly made light of my plight it would help bring me to my senses and benefit me greatly. I just feel a lot of good postal employees get a bad rap.

Considering you're the only one on hear complaining about the postal services workers have you considered that it might be your attitude? Just sayin'! Everyone has bad days...how do you know what that person went through that particular morning. Next time try greeting them with a friendly hello and smile and see what happens, if they are still rude then report them to the Postmaster instead of complaining on Topix. This won't solve anything!

Well I was in there chatting with one of the sweet girls the other day and she had made a comment about how a little old retired man comes in there frequently and he is a very rude. Not wanting to wait in line and complaining about postal charges. The first thing I thought is, Oh Gosh, I hope that's not my little Buddy. That would not be good P.R. for the Mayor's race. I'm sure it isn't but the "little retired man" just got me thinking.

Must be your attitude. I am in there to ship packages about once a week, and sometimes more. I have always had pleasant transactions with them. They are always polite and my children love the ladies there.

One of the ladies who retired, will still stop and talk to me if I see her out. They work a thankless job.

This isn't looking good for my Little Buddy! I'm thinking that maybe my Little Buddy is just having a bad day at the times he is visiting the Postal Service. He's just misunderstood guys.
