My Message to US Representative of my district Todd Rokita:

Message Subject: Affordable Healthcare Act of America
Message Text:
Todd, I am surprised and saddened that you do not support this law. It was only after much careful consideration and public outcry that President Obama and both houses worked tirelessly to get these improvements passed through both houses and signed by the president. It's very disappointing you do not see the obvious advantages of this landmark law. I do believe that history was made, and you would do well to be on the side of the common man. Because most of Indiana is common men, that have children that will benefit from this law. Like my 24 year old college student. With the high cost of college and her putting herself through school she can't afford to purchase healthcare on her own. Why would you want to kill her healthcare coverage? I'm sorry Todd that you have decided that politics are more important than our well being in Indiana.

When will people get it? Any and every program the government touches is run inefficiently. All one has to do is look at Social Security and Medicare. Why do people believe it will be different this time? I don't know about everyone else but I only have to hit my head against a brick wall once to know it hurts. Why do so many insist on continually banging their head against the wall? The best measure of future events is the past. Good luck. Now all we have is a larger government and another huge bureaucracy. Sad day for America.

Not real sure why you think the government is going to be running this program. I do believe that Mr. Obama made it perfectly clear this was a PRIVATE insurance program, and requires everyone to purchase PRIVATE insurance.
I realize people from Mr. Rokita's district are very intellectually challenged and watch and BELIEVE Fox News channel. But, Please before you speak at least check on it for yourself first so you don't look like an idiot when you start talking about it.

The Affordable Healthcare act pays for itself through healthy people purchasing insurance or paying a tax fine equal to buying basic coverage for a year at tax time.
If you already have health insurance your fine.
You people are so brainwashed.

Republicans attending a White House meeting on Wednesday (1 year ago) didn't take kindly to President Obama telling them tax rates were higher during the Reagan administration. GOP members engaged in a lot of “eye-rolling. Taxes are in fact LOWER under Obama than Reagan years.
That House Republicans find this preposterous is symptomatic of the hold Reagan mythology has over them. After all, for seven of Reagan’s eight years in office, the top tax rate was higher than the current 35 percent. In six of those years, it was 50 percent or more. And every year that Regan was in office, the bottom tax bracket was higher than the current ten percent.
Republicans are very fond of saying that the U.S. has “a spending problem, not a revenue problem.” But the truth is that revenue has plunged due to the recession and to continued misguided tax cuts, and revenue needs to be raised to eventually bring the budget into balance. And Reagan knew that taxes were an important part of the budget equation. After all, he “raised taxes in seven of his eight years in office,” including four times in just two years.
If you don't believe this you can check on the FACTS yourself, it's all true!

So which is it? At tax or a fine? Obama promised no new taxes on the middle class. Now that this health care bill has been upheld in the supreme court in it's entirety it is now a tax on the very people he said would not see taxes raised. And I only see Obama and his cronies praising this supreme court ruling.

This is a short term victory for the Democrats but it is also a gift to Romney for this up coming election. At first I was surprised that a conservative judge such as Roberts would have voted in favor of this. But now I am thinking it is a brilliant move on his part because now it is a big BIGGGGG problem for Obama come November.

You die hard liberals continue to believe that everything is going to be great with your man Obama in charge. The majority of this country is seeing it so much differently. And we do not need to rely on Fox news for the info. We can see it in our daily lives. The facts do not lie and that is one thing Obama will not run his election on.

Sorry, we are not the ones being brainwashed here. We are the ones who refuse to be brainwashed a second time around.

Hmmm....maybe I believe the government will be running the program because the government will be running the program. Bury your head if you like, but many of the rest of us live in reality. The only idiot on here is anyone (including you) that support Obamacare. Consider getting a clue.

Good. So you admit that Obama lied when he said no new taxes of ANY KIND for families making less than 250K. Let's not even bring up the fact that Obama lied even before the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare when he raised cigarette taxes 6 months into his administration. Or does the clueless Obama believe only people who make more than 250K smoke? The truth of the matter is that Obama has lied multiple times since becoming president and is continuing to do so.

Oh yes they are, everyone gets ill at some point in time or another, and some fall victim to accidents as well. Unless you have a spare 50k (or more)to pay a large (most are always large) medical bill, then you irresponsibly do not pay into the system that you will eventually use. And the cost of taking care of those is spread amoung those of us who do pay into it.

Thanks for the succinct explanation. So it's obvious you use lies and cliche's to describe important landmark legislation and deflect things that don't fit into your political framework. Gee....who does that remind me of...Rush Limbaugh perhaps, or take your pick of any of the talking head clowns you short sighted dim witted conservatives like to listen to...and apparently mimic as well.

Get a frickin clue. Even the liberal world knows this healthcare system is under the control of the government. They are collecting a tax? Who collects taxes? That's right. The government.

If it wasn't for Fox you dimwit, the liberal TV media would have a complete monopoly. Now go back to your MSNBC propaganda.

Typically the truth can be found in places that are not under any influence or bias both politically or financially.
An independent source of news would most certainly need to reside outside of the USA since the subject matter involves this country.
It's no wonder I can find ALL foreign news sources seem to report the news the same as what most americans consider the "Liberal News Media".
The only National/international News agency that seems to report differing accounts is Fox News.
Saying ALL news is biased and ALL lie is the only defense I ever hear from people that support their "Flavor" of news. It's what gives you your excuse to believe and support lies and political rhetoric Fox News broadcasts.
