Don't forget tax hikes to pay off the $20 million estimate for the High School renovations.

Frito Lay, A multi-billon dollar company needs more tax breaks. Yet most of this community gets more upset when they see a Hispanic or single mother with her nails done using food stamps. It boggles the mind. You could add up all of the people cheating the welfare system in the country, and it wouldn't even come close to the amount of corporate welfare that the richest companies in the world get in tax breaks.

Typical topix answer, a non answer. Please point them out, other than the state roads, that the state is responsible for. You are aware that we aren't responsible for state roads even if they are in city limits. So please answer my first question in response to your comment, thanks.

Hey missy, take a drive down our alleys. The state statutes give great details that the City is wholly responsible for them.

Contrary your petty female opinion, there are quite a few city streets that also need some repairs.

But since you continue to drink that green swill, we know it's impossible for you to see the real dire straits that Frankfort is in.

Like the fact in April, the city had to request a loan from a fund sight because the A/P exceeded their A/R. Also your mayor was requesting that funds be transferred so he could cover his public relations overage.

Contrary to a couple of hundred of people who can't see the forest for the trees, Frankfort's finances are not in good order.

Hence the alleys, roads, and delays of certain payments being done.

And before you come back with some uninformed response, you need to go to some city meetings, engage some city council members in candid and pointed conversation, and also request a copy of the city's financial report.

If you do those things, then your eyes will be opened to the real world of reality in our County seat, Frankfort.

I always find humor when I see citizens getting upset at Corporate tax breaks, especially here in Clinton County. I mean really? When you have Republicorporations continually in Power, and no balance of power coming from another political party, what do you expect? It's what the Republicans are ALL ABOUT...mind you they are all clowns in suits.. But start a local 3rd party representing the working class. Democraps are nothing more than Communists now days.

Personally, I think it's commendable of Mr. Mcbarnes to honor the agreement. Frito Lay is big enough and powerful enough that they could easily leave Clinton County and not miss a beat in production and or revenue.

I also agree that neither democrats or republicans have the best interests of the United States in their minds. They continue to collect lobbyist money, of course it's hidden in various perks. They spend money they don't have, for example, the public relations fund site that was tapped dry by the mayor and he now has asked for transfers. They continue to borrow money, only to turn around and give it away.

What a sad political world that we have to tolerate. It's too bad we can't clean house more effectively when we vote.

you commend mcbarnes but then complain about the city giving money away, and this time to FritoLay.

What I said was I commend him for honoring an agreement made by the previous administration.

The complaint I was specific about was in regards to his spending all of his public relations allotment and asking to have money transferred from other places to cover the P.R. bills.

I apologize for not putting the "... for example, the public relations fund site that was tapped dry by the mayor and he now has asked for transfers." into it's own paragraph since it was not my intention to link "I also agree that neither democrats or republicans have the best interests of the United States in their minds. They continue to collect lobbyist money, of course it's hidden in various perks.." with the local P.R. situation.
