Jeeze dude, I don't usually say anything about the spelling on here but this one actually made me embarrassed for you. Learn to spell and maybe YOU can be a role model for your kids.

I personally feel that this is something that shouldnt be posted online about. If what is said is true then it will be handled. And just because one person who happens to be an officer does wrong doesnt mean all frankfort police is wrong. If they werent here we would have a lot more trouble than this!

Almost choked laughing. Anyone else that gets arrested gets rung thru the paper and treated as guilty, looked down on, before they're even found guilty. Why is he different? Because he's a cop? Because the vast majority of people are "shocked and can't believe it so it just can't be true?" He shits just like you and me, only difference is his authority to arrest me for it. And that's exactly why it should be posted online and corruption exposed. Guilty or not, let it run it's course thru court, just like everyone else, every other citizen that's been arrested and had their name run thru the paper. Tired of the Randy sympathizers.

I think what was trying to be said, is that just because he was arrested doesn't mean the entire department was arrested. Not sure about you but the last arrest I saw in the local times didn't have the subjects entire family tree listed. They listed the man arrested and nothing more. Just a thought.

This mornings Frankfort Times has a an article concerning Mr. Emery. Yesterday he pleaded not guilty. His trial is scheduled for late May. Then hopefully the truth will be revealed.

Wow Jimmy, you better pop one of your illegally obtained Xanax pills before you stroke out! It looks to me like Emery is going through the legal system just like everyone else. Guilty or not, it's not his fault he has a lot of friends. He just isn't the typical skank that goes through the judicial system.(Sorry if that strikes a nerve with you). Good people make bad decisions too.

I too hope these charges prove to be untrue. However if this was any average Joe he would of been fired immediately. Now taxpayers will pay for him to be off work until his trial? Then what?

The Fifth Amendment protects people who have been accused of a
crime. It states that each accused person will have a trial before being
called guilty. Each person is “innocent until proven guilty.” A person
cannot be tried for the same crime twice. Also, a person does not have
to speak at his or her own trial.

Only if that was upheld for each and every citizen.
As the previous post stated if this was any other average Joe, lets say an admin at the Police Dept, they would of been fired on the spot. Let's get real here. We all want to believe this all proves to be untrue. However a paid leave of absence more than likely until after his trial. Court proceedings can be dragged on for long periods of time.

yes we all know innocent till proven guilty, but the fact is he had Job of transporting a large sum of money, over $100,000 from his part time job to a bank in a police cruiser while off duty and the money never made it and he never reported being robbed or losing any money. doesn't it seem obvious?

AMENDMENT V

[ This is the text of the Fifth Amendment ].

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Wheather you like it or not, he is innocent until proven guilty. However, he is no different than any other man/woman that has been arrested for a crime. The courts will figure this out. I only have this to ask? If he is allowed to continue working at the police dept , then I guess he should be allowed to continue working for the business that has filed these charges? After all ? Innocent until proven guilty. This post is made up from the "whole" of the posts on this subject. I am neither judge nor jury nor hangman.

I could really care less if he continues to work for the other company. My concern is as a tax payer we are paying for him to be on paid administrative leave because of an alleged crime he was allegedly committing in a city police cruiser.
Again my tax dollars paying for the use of that car and for him to be off work. Listen I too do not want to believe this is true. I too want to believe in the justice system (laugh) and the 5th amendment (laugh)
If this was any average person they would of been fired. No paid leave. Period.

I sure as hell don't buy the mayors story that they had no idea and were shocked by the arrest.

I assuming that if the FPD and BOW decided to terminate Mr. Emory and/or place him on unpaid leave and he was then found not guilty in a court of law Mr. Emory could then file a civil against the city for some kind of unlawful termination. This lawsuit could cost the city even more money than if they had just went ahead and put him on paid leave up until the trial was concluded.
