Chris- you gotta take the tough stuff with the good. Did they not teach this to you at college? Did you not learn about it in the teen years when you had a job? Did you not learn it in kindergarten thru 12th grade?

This is the real world young man. You work for us. Declining comment sure was a cheap way for you to avoid facing the media. All you had to say was "I am confident that all involved with this will be found innocent".

Unless you know otherwise. Which a lost of us suspect you do.

My guess is this will all be settled out of court with the city insurance picking up the tab.

Funny how the Times missed this story last year and it was burning up topix and very very few of you give the poster the time of day.

But you were quick to dismiss her.

Common sense isn't so common anymore. Perhaps we should change the name to rare sense?

Any idiot knows. That is the absolute worst part of town. Stay out of it.

What are you saying???

That the police shouldn't give the same respect to a particular part of town that they do others?

Please explain yourself.

The mayor, our fine town, and the city finance lady are about to be sued as well.

The lady they fired for credit card stuff was giving the finance lady's boyfriend the "around the world" tour.

Now she's out for revenge.

Thanks Joe.

I find this quite ironic as the “young buck Mayor” request a new hire City fireman to resign after claiming that his behavior outside of the department was not ethical to the city standards. Yet all the while he is covering up such a disgusting crime. The conduct of the police officers, Chief of police and the Mayor himself far exceeds that of the lesser “unacceptable” behaviors that Mayor Chris McBarnes claims “cannot be tolerated” As a citizen, I am more concerned about the outright lying, threats, not following the protocol of the law or the fact he did not reprimanding his police force under such behavior. Oh, did I mention that the young fireman that lost his job was due his “facebook” pictures of drinking alcohol while NOT on duty. I am a little confused as to what is consider “ethical or acceptable” by the Mayor and the city officials.

Said fireman was wearing his uniform off duty into bars. Say what you want but that is reason enough to lose your job.

Isis, not sure what country you live in, but in a law suit you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. They shouldn't suffer any fate until proven guilty.

I don't understand why it is acceptable for the mayor to use Wilo and The Times to make comments or quote scripture "to comment indirectly"
Yet the victim is being ripped for utilizing media outlets to bring light to the matter. I find it brave this victim is willing to speak up and take a stand.
We all have witnessed & heard the Mayor get all flustered when he is confronted. Nothing like seeing him squirm or stutter.

Keep your religious scripture out of our politics. How interesting he could not "comment" on Wilo yet he went on to comment, then used scripture to "comment" in code.
A simple I cannot comment at this time but feel for those all involved would be sufficient enough.
Yes, a court of law will prevail.Unfortunately the truth will come out a brutal crime was committed. Shady officers & city officials covered it up.
I hope this young lady finds peace even if it is to the tune of the tax payers. The ones that did not do their jobs and used a personal vendettas to cover up should be the ones to pay.

Yes! Which is all linked to baby mama drama...
Majority of those boys already had a lengthy criminal history.

I'll tell you why he was demoted it was because he didn't follow protocol nor did his major... Furthermore, because the other detective has personal ties to one of the rapist/drug dealer/ loser "Boomer" he was suppose to notify the state police to handle any and all evidence!!!! That my friends is protocol feel free to dispute this however, protocol is protocol..
