Well, normally many people posting here on Topix have been hateful, negative, sarcastic and so on.

Now, I think there is also room for positve conversation. And, I think others would enjoy some positivity as well.

Sooo... let me say I very much welcome what's going on at the Frankfort Golf Club. I plan to spend time and money at the Frankfort Golf Club. I think it's very good for Frankfort, for Clinton County.

Please don't get discouraged if some people fly off the handle and poke a stick in your eye. We have many more well-intended positive people in our community than what you might first think from reading posts on this forum.

Welcome! I'm anxious to experience the new amenities, and I know may of my friends feel the same way!

So tell me, what new amenities will this golf club provide? What kind of prices can we expect to see for 18 holes and a cart, pass etc.... Who is going to be the Golf Pro, or does this new management do it themselves? Will anyone from this community be employed at the new golf club? You may not be able to answer these questions but I thought I would put them out there.

Well there will ba a lot going on in 2012! A lot is in development stages but the staff will be focused on 3 things: customer Service, cleanliness, customer service! We will have a lot of new and exciting programsas well as new promotions! Soon, we will start selling out Value Card, 10 round cards and 20 round cards! The value card has over $275 of savings for 39.95! The 10 and 20 round cards are prepaid rounds INCLUDING CART for $279 and $499 respectively. They will be available in a few weeks! We will be employing from the community, and our rates are still being toiled with. I promise to Frankfort that you'll enjoy the pace, enjoy the course, enjoy the food, and enjoy the SERVICE! Follow us on twitter to stay fully up to date on cards, and all our special 'twitter only' deals throughout [email protected]

Didn't the Golf Club just get new management this past year? Now it's under new management again? What happened to the other management before?

I am going to try and answer as many questions as possible! The previous management 'Green Golf' is no longer here. For financial reasons, their contract was terminated. Cohoat and Oneal is the new management team. We have multiple ideas for the old club house, HOWEVER, the pool will not fit in those plans. The pool will not be opened. The plan is to turn it into a 'green space' for wedding receptions, ect. This is a COMMUNITY asset. Its time the COMMUNITY starts to treat it that way!

To Mr. "Calloway" We all have big dreams, and just like anything else,$$ drives everything. If you attended out Busines After Hours last Thursday night, you saw the most advanced golf technology EVER. That technology can be utilitized by ALL at FGC! The dreams arent dreams, they are reality! There is a hitting net in the golf-shop for EVERYONE to keep thier game sharp. A putting green will be in NEXT WEEK! These are not empty promises or dreams, they are real! At FGC!! Give us a chance! You'll be pleasantly suprised!

I have tried three times to stop out and buy a junior membership for my son for christmas. The first two times nobody was there.(3:00 p.m.) The third time, the less than friendly person working, stated he could not sell me one because the price had not been set by the "new management". Guess I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

I know exactly the situation you are talking about and I want to resolve this ASAP! Nothing is more important to me than the Juniors. This is evident in the new YMCA Jr. Clinics going on this winter. The 'Less than friendly' can was completly in the wrong. The new management is changing the pricing for 2012, but the current deal before 12/31 is the same. The 'Less than friendly' man now knows that the membership deal before 12/31 is still avaialable now and was WRONG if he said anything but. This gentleman is with the old management and is not apart of Cohoat & O'Neal.
Are there some missed spots on our transition, yes. There is some rocky roads with any transition. On the days the shop was closed, the current staff usually stay depending on how busy they are and if the course is open or closed. On these days, if it is below freezing, the shop closes early sometimes to cut staffing and save $$. In this case, we lost money AND lost your future business. With the new management, the pro shop hours will change and give you more avaialbility. It is a fact, we missed busines with you, but I'd love for you to stop out tomorrow or over the weekend and talk to me about your concerns. The last thing we want to do is hurt our reputation before we have even started! I want to resolve this situation ASAP!

Joe - I hope you will have money in the budget to hire someone to assist you with spelling, grammar and punctuation. If you are going to take the time to read posts on Topix, I question how much money is being saved.
