Just want to warn everyone about buying a car from Affordable Automotive. Bought a car there in October, had various problems in the first two weeks. Four months later transmission went out. They said that they couldn't fix it even if I paid them. After alot of research I found that not only had the car had 20 insurance incidents but that Saturn doesn't even make parts for this vehicle anymore. I should have checked it out better beforehand so ultimately it's my fault but was in a hurry for a vehicle and fell for the "We are a Christian business".

I recently to a lincoln to them because of it overheating and they said it needed a new engine. Then they tried to get me to buy a car. A friend put on a new water pump. Total cost $120. no more problems. Imagine that!!!

Buyer beware. You just have to remember that these cars that are sold on these private lots all come from an auction. Why do dealers put cars in auctions? Mainly because they have issues and they just don`t want to deal with them.

They are crooks! However Encompass bank where I got the loan has some very good people (don't know or care if they are Christians or not) lol. They just called and are lending me another $3000 to get the car repaired. I will owe way more than it's worth but it's my only choice.
You are only scratching the surface with Affordable..there are many others I'm sure who have had similar experiences with them. I read them on here, but someone removed the forum.

Oh, I completely realize I should have check things out better. It just irritated me that they gave me this "We're Christians and want to do right and make everyone happy" story. Either that's a bunch of bull, or they're just idiots who know nothing about cars. Either way don't trust them!

Margie-was offered a warranty which she did not accept and Affordable did work for her at no cost to her which she fails to tell anyone--actual amount of work was $429.00--free work. Margie apparently does not understand the word SLANDER, as the rest of you on this page doesnt. Affordable is ran on Christian principles which is very difficult when dealing with such people these days--have a nice day and God bless

You are telling us to get a life, however you are still spouting off on here! And by the way you sound as if you have or are in the business of selling cars? Keith are you trying to defend yourself again.. The whole point is this, don't advertise as a Christian based company and then once monies are exchanged, turn your back on 'em. Christians are helpful, understanding, caring, try to help out those who need it and don't lie! They also don't brag about all the good they do for others like it's been seen on facebook..

Not Keith by the way--but tell us how Affordable wasnt helpful after spending $429 to assist her for one,not turning their back that way it dont seem. Understanding, yes we believe they were, caring, yes they were, try to help, yes they did, lie, never. As we hear it, Margie was on a trip to Kentucky and her transmission failed, explain how anyone knows when an engine or transmission is going to go out? Fact is, she was offered an extended warranty which she failed to purchase which would have covered her new transmission. As we hear the story correctly, Affordable even contacted Encompass to acquire yet more money for her new transmission, helpful you say, most definitely. They brag because they are the best in the town of Frankfort and stand tall everyday to help others. Christian company, most definitely!!

Slander would be lies told to hurt someones reputation.
20 insurance claims- fact-Carfax
Saturn not longer makes these transmissions-fact-Saturn Dealership.
No I did not accept warranty-absolutely admit that-not a liar.
Work was done on car for free because it was damaged when I bought it. I was told a part was ordered for the front end. Three months later you fixed a shock on the back and told me that was the problem all along.

Affordable most definitely did not contact Encompass. I did. They were very helpful.

Could it be that maybe just maybe Margie felt buying a "good quality" used car would have performed better than what it did? I apologize for not having known all the facts of what was offered or not offered. I do realize however, that maybe she couldn't afford the xtra money on her payments? Maybe that extended warranty was going to put her over her budget for a payment? Some are on pretty strick budgets right now and an extra 10 to 20 does make a big difference.
Isn't there something in the Bible that says if you do good by someone, it goes as unspoken? I know it's not worded correctly, but you get the point? Why do you need to brag? Can you just be good at what you do without bragging?? That's the Christian way.

Just Post your real name,if your a real person. If you have something legitimate to say? JUST SAY IT! Your all cowards and all need to find a real hobby. Margie if you had a problem with your vehicle, you should have took that up with the dealership. And all of you that have something to say,Just say it to that person! FACE TO FACE. WHY GET ON HERE AND HIDE BEHIND A FAKE NAME. REMINDS ME OF THE KLU KLUX KLAN. HIDING BEHIND WHITE SHEETS. Nobody is perfect! Not me or you or anybody.

A question for the Christian man - Why do you state Carfax is a scam and now you run ads in The Times saying you give them out?

This thread begs the question: Is there a good, honest, and reasonable used car dealer in Frankfort?
