  • Indeed. All of them will be brought to their knees
  • Yes, but there will be some "scape goats"
  • Probably, but only with hand slaps for punishement
  • ABSOLUTELY NO. It will completely disappear..

The family that brought this on will be sorry they put their own flesh and blood to relive this terrible night. They want to save face for their selves not their daughter. It was a terrible crime, why is it only now they are playing such a leading role. Maybe what people who are watching this will learn is be more of a leading role in how your kids are raised. That girl put herself in the wrong place, at no fault of her own, If you think the mayor or police department are at fault then her parents are at fault for not knowing where she was or what kind of people she was running with. Parents be a positive roll in your child's life, go to church, teach good morals to your kids. Take responsibility for your actions. They will never be able to remove that night from their daughters life, nor will they get any satisfaction by trying to bring other people down in the process. It does say what drives the parents is not mending your daughters life but to continue to drag her through the mud and remind her of the bad decisions she made. Lets hope no more facts come out if this goes to far, it might only be worst for the girl, but if that's the parents wishes, so be it. Be careful what you wish for.

After reading this, are you really saying that it is all the girl's fault that she was raped? If this is actually your take on this rape, was it really okay for those who raped her not be held accountable for their actions. After all, they had a choice to rape her or not rape her. What kind of upbringing did they have? They need to be held accountable for their actions as well. I believe that is why we have laws against rape. I don't care who was raped or what kind of upbringing she had. No one has the right to rape another individual.....PERIOD!!

From the Federal Lawsuit

48. The attending nurse explained to XXXXXX that she found three anal tears and damage to her perineum that is usually only present in forced sex.

49. The nurse took pictures of XXXXXX’s bruised ankle, wrists, and mouth, anal tears, vaginal, and anal tears and bruising.

57. The FRANKFORT MAYOR also assured XXXXXX’s father that the rape kit had already been “taken down and turned in.”

58. Despite these assertions, it took almost five (5) weeks for the rape kit to be taken to the Indiana State Police crime lab, which is not normal protocol for any municipal, county or state law enforcement agency.

Injuries like those that are documented in visual, written and photo, plus 5 weeks to submit the kit...

Yes, she was raped and the police by failing to follow established standards of handling a rape case will cause the city to settle out of court.

As a taxpayer, I do not like the idea of money having to be paid out, but in the instance, I hope the city pays huge in this matter.

Not saying it was the girls fault, No one deserves to be raped. My point is not who is at fault, it was the Boys involved. My point is she made the BAD decision to get intoxicated and put herself in that place and time. Maybe the parents should have played a more positive roll in her life, her decision would have had a more positive outcome. But see today it's OK to let our kids lead the kind of life that promotes this. Shame is the girl is the last thing everyone is worried about. Drag her through a civil case, make her relive all this over and over. The parents should really be thinking of getting her through this terrible act. The city is bonded and insured, the only one who will pay is the girl. I wish the boys would pay dearly also.

IGNORANT!!! Do you not read the details of the lawsuit?
I would say the details outlined against each and every one of the defendants are pretty substantial including the officers involved and Mayor McBarnes.
Read on...it goes to state that this is not the first rape case in which the Frankfort Police Dept handled inappropriately. It also states that one of the defendants has been accused of rape before. It is also known that many of the defendants have a previous proven criminal history.
I hope the girl finds peace and justice is brought to her.
Shame on those that use this forum to belittle are degrade her. NO ONE EVER ASKS TO BE RAPED!! GOD FORBID THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE.

If the police didnt do their investigation right then they are the ones who need to be held accountable. Not the parents. To say this girls parents are at fault is absurd. Yes she may have made a bad decision, but that doesn't mean she should be raped. Wow, the way people think now a days. If you had a daughter who got drunk and got raped and the police did nothing, would you not do the same thing? And would you tell yourself "oh I'm a bad parent because my daughter did what most teens do in this town, since there is a lack of things to do, and got messed up and someone raped her because of that"? I think not.

Is that how it happened? The people that had sex with her say it was done on a lets do it basis...Are you taking sides without knowing the facts? I think you are again only reading what the attorney and Gary Snyder states.. Will you listen to the people being accused or I guess you have already found them guilty without their story.. Hope you are not a juror .

Of course that's what I'm going by. What else am I supposed to go on? That's the only thing we have been presented with. The department is hush hush. And clearly someone screwed up otherwise why the demotion of a detective? Why is it we are calling this girl a liar? Why would she put herself through all this? For personal gain or vendettas? If your daughter was raped wouldn't you want people to believe her? She went to the hospital had the rape examination done, she did her part to try and prove it happened. Why is it she's a liar because the police didnt turn the kit in for 5 weeks? Valuable evidence that could have shown this girl really was a victim. I'm not taking sides I'm looking at the things that have been presented to me and making my own call. Until the police tell their side of the story in court, they look pretty bad. Now they know what it's like to label someone as guilty before its proven.

well it would be nice if the police and the mayor would give some kind of a statement! come on now it took 5 weeks to give the rape kit to the state police! that said, why did it take so long? and our mayor would NOT release anything to the news media that is public knowlege!

Sooooo...because it is apparently the city of Frankfort's responsibility to entertain it's youth, that makes it the city's fault and makes it understandable that teens go out and do drugs..among other things. I'll be damned, I always thought I was responsible for every aspect of raising my children. I'll be darned. I could have done a half-assed job and blamed someone else!

As a candidate and now as Mayor, McBarnes said repeatedly there need to be more options for the youth of this community in regards to entertainment and recreation.

So, according to the Mayor, the City of Frankfort is responsible to entertain the youth.
