Jonas, You are in a business that is everyone business. Your business supplies drinks, to people that should have been cut off, out on the streets. These people not only are a danger to themselves, but everyone in the community that is on the streets. Since you only work one day a week, maybe you better pop in on Thursday night at closing time....
Maybe you should also step up and help if someone seems intoxicated. But I am sure it is easier to complain on here instead of being a responsible adult in the bar scene.

By law it is the bar owners responsiblity.
Why would a 18 year old approach a drunken mexican and advise him not to drive?

it sure sounds as if this bar and the owner have a lot of issues. there is no way a business can be ran properly if the owner only works one day a week. I noticed in an earlier post that the owner didn't deny the accusations of someone called citizen kane. this person seemed to know a lot about the owner and I am guess that it wasn't made up. the owner should take responsibility for his business and be there on a regular basis. why should we want a business ran this poorly in our downtown where a lot of good things are starting to happen. people are starting to take pride in the downtown again and we certainly do not want a bar owner who doesn't show enough pride to clean his bar up and come to work operating downtown. I am sure i will be called a coward by the owner for not using my real name but no self respecting person should use their name on here because they will then become a target for ridicule by someone posting under a phony name. if the website would verify name for everyone i would gladly use my name.

Poorly ran business, huh? Everything is running quite well, actually. Being there once or twice a week isn't all that is put into that place. You folks have no idea what I do to keep our place going. There is a hell of a lot more than just being there. You people are oblivious to how a business is run. All you haters and cowards are way out of your element. You wouldn't know the first thing about running a business, thus, you should keep your comments to yourselves. If you don't like the television show, change the channel. If you don't like our place, don't come in. It's as simple as that. We only provide a service. If you don't want or like the service we provide, then stay away! Our customers are good people who appreciate the service we provide for them. They are safe, treated well and have fun when they come in! They are the people I care about! The good people of Frankfort deserve a nice place to go. We provide that for them! It's hard to run a successful business. Especially the food and drink industry. And, especially in a town such as Frankfort. We do the best we can to help make Frankfort a decent place to live. There is just not a whole lot of things to do for the adults of Frankfort. We give them something... Something to do, somewhere to have fun and be safe! It's local money being spent back into the local economy! You folks screaming that we are bad for downtown need a wake up call! Instead of making up lies and hating on us, how about you get behind a local business that A. Provides jobs B. Pumps money back into the community C. Holds fundraisers and events for people in need D. Gives the adults in Frankfort something to be proud of! But, you know what? You guys are right... A business going into a building that has been sitting empty for years is not good for downtown. Lets let another building be condemned. Or, catch fire, burn to the ground and have another empty lot sit for decades! That's what this town needs! I appreciate everyone who supports what we do! Thank you!

So you don't shop at WalMart, Rural King, CVS, Buy cars out of county, eat at franchise restaurants, buy fuel, or never leave Clinton county???

You are an idiot who thinks that everyone who works or owns a business has to live in this town? When you start purchasing everything locally, eating at only local places that purchase all their food from Clinton Country providers, purchasing fuel from local gas producers, then shut the hell up!

You are obviously too ignorant to get frankfort fans point, if every frankfort business owner lived in another town, what would we have here? we would have a town that continues to deteriorate and become very sad little town, have some pride man and demand better for our town. there are plenty of small business in frankfort that are owned by frankfort residents

And living in our town as an owner does what? The business pays local state and federal taxes. Which are more than the current residential taxes.

There is NO loyalty here. When Walmart came to town, all you fools blamed them for shutting down local businesses. Look in the mirror, you're the ones who are guilty. You shopped there.

Jonas hires local, buys what he can local, and supports local projects. His money stays local. All the while you people go out of town to buy your things. You know why it's cheaper in Laf? Because you go there to shop for your groceries, clothes, and other stuff.

Get off your high horse and start shopping here. Then you can argue about owners living in the community.

Frankly, there are some owners here that are involved in things that make some of us wish they didn't live in Frankfort.

Just hang in there Jonas, one thing I have learned in my 50 years in Frankfort is that these people are "weak and powerless".
After all, if people think having any real power is in Frankfort,Indiana they are to be pitied.

I love the fact that the scoreboard was denied a move, but the main street pub just expanded their bar, and now allow eating out on the sidewalk downtown. The new bar is really nice to be honest and i believe its really making downtown worth it, as oppose to the scoreboard. The best improvement made there in 2 years is that basketball goal they put in haha.
