Does anyone else think that this 'CCEAF' association or whatever it is could be broke? Do they own the Ivy Tech building? Creekside?

Please show where $50,000 is mentioned in the recent Frankfort Times article. That is all the news that I have heard about this issue.

The only tool is you and your incessant stalking.

You mean rumor and innuendo. Where is this $50k stated in the public record?

Perhaps you would be satisfied if the city took over management of the golf course?

Never satisfied if the city took over management.. Perhaps the city shouldn't give $50,000 to a private firm.. And yes, that will be coming to your city in the very short future. Be patient Punjabby, after all this golf course talk was just a rumor you told me. Now that has come to light and so will the $50,000. Thank you...

Our city POOL losses 50,000 a year.
Our city PARKS cost the tax payers way more than that. If we keep the course for the people tell me the difference. A lot of people, including me don't use the pool or the parks but my taxes help pay for both. You people that don't play golf are no different, your taxes should help pay for the golf course. If you take away the golf course, the pool, the parks you take away any reason to move to this community. The BIG picture is lost if you think the golf course is not a valuable part of our community. It is not just for the so called ELITE, hasn't been since 2011. If the course goes then watch the better jobs and companies go as well. We want higher paying jobs here then we need to offer something for the people that like golf and nice pools and parks for their family. If the course goes the pool could follow then the parks. This city can't keep losing it's assets and expect to see progress just because of a couple of tax dollars it will cost. Doesn't everything come with a cost! What about Wesley Manor, they are seeing tough times, they need the course to help market there services. How many jobs in our community are tied to them!!!!! If we lose the golf course, we lose another reason for people to not look at Frankfort as home. The truth, if the tax payer is ask to support the golf course to the tune of 50,000 that would mean it would cost $3.00 per person in your house hold, the cost of a BIG MAC. Is that worth the decline of YOUR city.

no one will be looking at this town for new company start-ups because of the school ratings. that golf course isnt going to make a break anything.

It sure can't hurt.

As for CSF, no amount of money will help until families and parents in this town change their attitude toward education.

Sure, lets blame that families and parents. Some of them have legit reasons for being pissed off at CSF. If their school board would listen to them instead of having their own crazy agenda, then we probably wouldn't be reading that CFS is in the pit of crappy education. But it's deeper than that. For example...

Let's forget about underfunded and or middle of the year cut by the state budgets because of the last 8 years of ludicrous decision by Bennett and Daniels. And to know that it will continue to travel down that road because of Pence and his cronies.

Realistically, Frankfort needs to be able to hold students back who cannot communicate in a language that is widely acceptted in the United States.

They also need to hold back kids that don't make the grades. You and I both know that some, but not many, teachers pass kids on down the line. Those teachers need to be taken to task.

And again no, I won't be running for school board becasue I am a county dweller as shown by my location. But as mentioned elsewhere, and also a response you seem to throw out, when will you be throwing your hat into the ring?

The city doesn't pay a dime for the golf course and hasn't for sometime. The county/city/Wesley Manor on the ground but do not not make a single penny nor do they spend a single penny. So if the county owns part of the course, which they do, should the county give deer track and Rossville $50,000 to help with their bills?

After all, the county was asked to give $50,000 as well but so far, they have stated they will not. You must be a democrat or you don't believe in capitalism, the golf course is ran by a private firm that is paying the Farmers Bank money for the loan the Farmers bank provided several years back. How about make this company run the course right and if the bank is losing money, well it is their own fault as they knew this course was failing when the loan was given out. The city paying for private companies is wrong in so many ways. Maybe the city can buy a new car dealership
so we can say we have one. Wow, I love how we think.. Oh and by the way, why does Wesley Manor get to let the people that live their play golf for free?

So, you are saying the city should fund a private company? Should the county and Wesley manor also kick in some money since they own the ground? The city spends nothing or makes nothing..The private company makes money and pays a local bank money for the bad loan they gave out years ago (FBank).

Should the county also give deer track and Rossville money since they are in the county of Clinton? To my knowledge, the county is refusing to pay anything, how smart they are. Oh and by the way, why should people that stay at Wesley Manor get to play for free? What is next, the city going to fund a new car dealership because "the city" needs one?

You bet I will, because in my experience of having a child/children enrolled in CSF for the last 17 years uninterested parents are at least 75% of the problem. They view school as nothing more than free child care.

Are there bad teachers in CSF, as there are in any school corporation? Of course there are. How would YOU measure a teachers success or failure in the classroom?

The city needs to just buy all the golf course land from Wesley Manor and the county, put management and upkeep of the course under the control of the parks department and call it a day.

Other small towns in Indiana own and/or operate municipal golf courses. Why can't Frankfort?

Yep,sorry I did not preface my comment. If it comes to losing the course, the city should make it part of the park system, it would not be a private business.

Nope... the city.

Borrowing money from the USB is showing that the B.o.W. and the mayor have squandered the money that Pippenger left them all away.

While I am at it, YOU go find all the proof to show me different. Good luck.
