Does it matter and if it did bother somebody, you would have a dumb comeback to them...
Of course it matters. If somebody is suffering due to one day a week trash pickup they need to contact their city councilman, the street dept. director, and the mayor.
Hmmm

Will not matter. Talk to the elected and appointed people if you choose, but the decision has been made - save money to pay for Ivy Tech.

Administration is attempting to run with 1 truck to pick-up, so the street department can be cut. August is the time frame for the cuts.

Recycle Man is the one that is telling the story.
Hmmm is right

You are exactly right "Hmmm". Sounds like it will be a minimum of 6 and possibly up to and including 10.

Isn't that funny? They create a new job title at the park, slide a person over to the Street dept so they can make it fly, then BAM... it's lay-off or firing time for the St. Dept employees.

I wonder if any of the administration has offered to take a pay cut or even do a "Pippinger" and work for a buck.

Oh well, less service for the city, and no reduction in cost to the city dwellers. Welcome to the New Administration.

I am not suffering from once a week pick-up, i am suffering that they didn't reduce our bill. How would most people feel if the gas stations charged 3.859 per gallon but all you got was 1/2 a gallon???

Contacting them doesn't work. They will listen, but this decision was made back in Jan so it's a done deal. The St dept boys were told not to buy anything expensive in Jan because there was going to be some trimming of employees.
