I'm not in your guys debate, however, compared to the Marion, Indiana city website Frankforts is intermediate. The Frankfort website is plain and drab. It hardly does the city any justice.
You are right, the city of Marion's website appears to be very useful with lots of information readily available. Perhaps you need to contact the Frankfort Mayor's office with your findings and opinions.

Tell how who is?

Why should a Frankfort resident be afraid to contact his/her mayor?

Can anyone tell me what the enrollment rate is now compared to the projected enrollment rate? Also, what is the gradation rate as of now? And the drop out rate? How many actual students are now attending IVT.
Yep

When I heard that Ivy Tech had opened a school there in Frankfort. I thought it was the best thing that could ever happen. Many of the students who live in Frankfort would never have the chance to attend a college due to many circumstances. It absolutely should be made a priority, and maybe even offer GED classes so that many young people who thought they had better plans than finishing school could get that chance to get that diploma. I am not full of knowledge about how the funding occurs or where it comes from and dont pretend to have that information. I do know that grants and pell grants pay for a lot of students who other wise could not afford to attend.
KEEP IVY TECK INTACT!!!!!
Its a step forward in our community , and if you do not feel that way......makes a person wonder just what you want for the community as a whole.

If it's such a good idea, why isn't ivy tech (state funded school) paying for the building? Why are they taking a vested interest? Why is our stretched tax dollar paying for it. If Boone county (a much more superior county) could not sustain a campus how do you figure it works out here? This is nothing more than a resume builder for our mayor.

How about get manufacturing and warehouse jobs here? Get working, tax paying people moving in instead of people whom are a burden to our society. Jobs that pay $10.00 an hour aren't drawing anyone here. How about utilize the highway we lobbied for??

You can't tell me that ivy tech is the
answer to jobs coming to this county. Again, Boone county is growing and doing fine after the closure of their campus.

Can anyone tell me if the vacant Southside school was ever considered for the ivy location? It seems to me it would have been an (all around) better choice ??

That was asked quite some time ago.

It really doesn't matter now. They've already bilked the taxpayers.

Spending money for the future is a wise investment. Too bad the shortsighted skinflints in this community don't think so.

Too bad the asshats don't understand that giving taxpayers dollars that were passed back to county and city coffers to a state funded school is just wrong.

Typical article from the local media... No actual number of students attending on site. No actual number of students using the online classes.

Another perfect example of slipshod journalism.

I agree, the 'ClintonCountyDailyNews' website frequently lacks details. Doesn't necessarily make what they are saying false, however.

I'm sure you can call IVT Frankfort and they will provide you with the information you seek.

Ivy Tech Frankfort. Working as planned.

Did I say the article was false. That would be a no.

IVT working as planned. Well if you call sponging of the taxpayers bucks in addition to what they get from the state a plan, then you would be right.

It's still B.S.

And I never said you said the article was false, Martin. I just agreed with you that it lacked details.

Perhaps you need to start a Clinton county news source that will live up to your high journalistic standards.

Yet you agree with the city/county giving away millions in tax abatement. Another side of the same coin, Rowan.
