That is the million dollar question. By all means I get the roads would not be spotless. No one expected them to be. Some roads that were not even touched during the storm. The city allowed the motorists or "mother nature" to make tracks for motorists to get through.
Several roads were in no shape to handle the foretasted winter to begin with. I know of at least 5 main roads that handle heavy traffic that are in dangerous shape now.
What really bothered me is that the Street Dept Superintendent was on the local radio bragging about how the roads were in excellent condition. This was after the first storm we had. I believe we were at a Level 1 and then just bumped to Level 2 when he made that statement.
Many have stated they have contacted the Street Dept only to be told they are working in it. If you call the Mayor's office they direct you back to the Street Dept.

Before people start getting all defensive about our local Street Dept employee's no one is disputing your hard work. What we dispute is our local Mayor and his Street Dept Superintendent not stepping up and making our roads safe to drive on.
Put the costume up and grab a shovel and start patching some pot holes!!

They probably spent all of our tax money some where else. But I just want everyone else to know if the roads are bad don't drive through the TPA park. Lol!!

If my Little Buddy was Mayor, fixing these streets wouldn't be an issue. Heck, they might even be made of Gold!!! If you want these types of problems to end then we ALL better get on board with getting my Little Buddy in office. Then we can call him "our" Little Buddy!!!!

The percentage of individuals who vote in Frankfort are beyond pathetic. Less than 20% of the population capable of voting votes. Voting is one of the true freedoms for being an American. If you don't like the way things are or being ran, then vote, and encourage others to do so as well. Negativity gets no one anywhere.

. An excellent point made! So many posters in here have ranted how the present mayor won by an overabundance of votes when he was elected. When you have 18 to 20% of the eligible voters at the polls, it certainly doesn't take many votes to be overwhelming. We have a primary election coming out May 4. There are some largely contested campaigns in this election. Check them out. Decide who you think is the better person. Decide if you want to keep the same old regime or if you want new. You don't like the way things are going? You want to see change? Register to vote. Go to the polls. Make a difference. Vote!

Is the percentage of eligible voters who voted in county elections significantly higher?

No, sad to say. We are hoping this year starts a new beginning. A year that the people finally say, "We are taking our Government back"!
All it takes is registering, making some good decision regarding vote, then Vote! That is the only way to change things.
