well it happened again! obviously they are working together to steal items and it makes no sense. Brian has been doing good until Erica came back into the picture and it looks like the justice system is about to crack them again. dont worry she has more jail time coming as well. The feds have been watching both of them.

To- related.

Erica had nothing to do with Brian Babin going back to jail for yet again breaking into homes due to his addiction. He acted solo. He was being followed by the police going to several different homes. Erica was not with him nor involved in any of this investigation. She is also still on parole so she can not be involved in illegal matters or use because she is drug tested weekly. So find another person to blame Brian Babin's latest incident on. Or maybe just maybe except that there is no one else to blame it on but himself!

Peotone man linked to widespread burglary spree
By Jessica Shumaker - jshumaker@morrisdailyherald.co m

Created: Thursday, June 7, 2012 4:51 p.m. CDT
Several hours of surveillance Wednesday led local law enforcement officials to the arrest of a man linked to numerous recent burglaries in Grundy, La Salle, Kendall Counties.

Grundy County Sheriff Terry Marketti said about 12 deputies and detectives from his agency and the Kendall County Sheriff's Office followed in unmarked vehicles and watched Brian A. Babin, 33, of Peotone, target dozens of homes for burglary in the three counties, and saw him ultimately commit three burglaries.

"He went to at least 30 houses," Marketti said. "He knocked on doors seeing if people were home."

At the final burglary, at about 4 p.m., Marketti said law enforcement officials and a K-9 unit surrounded a home on Ashley Road and arrested him as he exited with jewelry later identified and recovered by the homeowner.

Babin was taken into custody without incident, Marketti said.

Through an investigation into a rash of burglaries in recent months, Marketti said Babin was identified as a suspect. Detectives from Grundy and Kendall Counties then began conducting surveillance on him. On Wednesday, they received information that Babin's vehicle, a silver Dodge Durango, was observed in Grundy County and deputies began observing him in action.

Babin was charged with residential burglary and theft, a Class 1 felony, and is believed to have ties with at least seven additional burglaries under investigation in Grundy County. Jewelry and cash were the leading types of stolen property, according to a Grundy County Sheriff's Department release, with some cases totaling more than $10,000 in property.

Marketti said Babin could face as many as 20 charges in Kendall County, and also is wanted for burglaries in Indiana. Babin's criminal record is lengthy, including prior drug charges.

He said he was pleased with the result of the operation and the cooperation between different agencies.

"It kept us very busy the last several weeks, but it was a good result," he said. "It got a guy off the streets that's been terrorizing rural residents the last month or two."

Babin appeared in front of a judge at the Grundy County Circuit Court Thursday, where his bond was set at $250,000. After his appearance, he was transported to the Grundy County jail.

He will next appear in court June 14.
