What happened to the rest of this topic? I had to go out of town because of a death in the family and had hoped to catch up. Where did all the comments go?

I am Brian's sister and I wanted to thank everyone who said wonderful things about my brother. He was a wonderful, thoughtful, and very special man who will be deeply missed. The services to show proper respect and honor to Brian flowed smoothly which leads me to believe that his spirit is safe with God. Lastly, to all of you that were so concerned about his dog, She is safe with me in our home. He boarded her in the Oak Forest Clinic. That was Brian's last unselfish act of love before he left us. Thanks again and bless your hearts!

Thank you for taking the time to answer Cheryl. I still can't believe this is true. I can't imagine the Brian I knew doing something like this and can only wonder about what was so sad in his life that he thought this was his only option. So very, very sorry.

HI Cheryl,

I went to HS with Brian and was unable to attend his service. The Brian I knew was a good guy and I'm so sorry that no one took the time to tell him that. someone told me that he lost his job at Wrigley and perhaps that led to this. I'm so very sorry if that was the reason. I'm sure that Brian didn't want to burden his family with any of his problems. That makes it even more difficult for you. If you would have known, I'm sure that you would have helped him.

Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss. And you are right, boarding his dog to be sure that she was safe was his last unselfish act of love. Can you just imagine him saying goodbye to his beloved dog? How did you know where to find her?

Hi Just Wondering!
Thanks first for those kind words for my brother. How do you know Brian?
To answer your question about Brian's dog...We searched for her by car and phone until we got a call late Tuesday morning from the Metra Police. We came to find out that the animal clinic realized that it was Brian who got hit by the train so they called to have the police notify us that they had her. It sure was a ray of light after everything that had happened up to that point.
Thanks SO much for your concern!
