I went and looked at this young ladies picture. I then posted a normal truthful comment. I have noticed that on this topic some people get upset. People get serious this girl is AVERAGE at best. closetprotester hit it right on the money for all of you to read. You are placed in that competition for everyone to look at you and judge you on everything. Now I'm reading Tony is talking about closetprotesters mother. The people I know from greer county aren't those kind of people. Try to show some "CLASS"...Next time you read something you don't agree with try not to feel so threatened and confused it will help you to curb your urge to lash out in pain...Everyone have a great day.

Okay I don't see what the big deal is either way. First of all, this isn't just a beauty pageant. It's a scholarship pageant to help these ladies pay for school and to promote their platform to different groups at various events and get the word out about a certain issue. There's more to it than beauty. Also, it's not like WE are competing for the pageant. So what if she wins? So what if she loses? Big deal. WE aren't getting money out of it. OUR names aren't going in the paper. We just get to brag for a short time that some girl got Oklahoma the title for Miss America until the next girl comes around and takes it. Cut her some slack. I think she's pretty. Out of the millions of girls that compete within the 6 year time frame that they can or whatever, only 1 gets Miss America in the whole country. The odds are like 1:1000000.
