Prisons are not the answer to all of society's troubles.
Prisons should be for VIOLENT offenses.

Yep, and the more minority trash that moves in to Scuylkill County, the more over-crowded the prison is going to get. Shenandoah has become a lot browner than I remember it, and that's not a good thing.

I'm all for studying prison crowding. Let's find out just how many miscreants we can crowd into a prison!

Wow! The MC has this comment board up and running, but they took down the one pertaining to the CEO getting a fat bonus from PPL. Way to go MC! Keep that integrity going like we've all become accustomed to.

it should be crowed and very unfortable for the inmates, if you make jail a place that isn't nice, maybe they will stop coming back
Let's get one thing straight. Jail is for short term stay, and prison is for long terms (The Big House)
And if you ever had to either work there, visit, or stay at either one you would find that it is not a fun or hospitable place to be found in period. Both jails and prisons all over our nation are overcrowded. There is no such thing as reform. The situtation is NOT getting any better, and neither is the fundings or the accomodations. The real problem exists in society in itself.
If one were to peek into the census, you might find more people in jails, prisons, homeless and in low income housing then in anywhere else.
Our nation depends on all of the above in order to keep the high class folks in the black (the best way I can say this due to time and space).

So what?.......what's your point? Do you have any better ideas about what to do with people who will not abide by our laws, and conduct themselves in a civilized manner?

You are fully entitled to your opinion. It is about the only rights an ex-convict has left once they are on the outside.
