Dead toddler's mom seeks release

A former Girardville woman charged in the starvation and dehydration death of her toddler could stay with her mother, the mother's husband and their own 20-month-old child if released on bail, a Schuylkill County judge was told Monday.
Amanda D. Trindle, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment , would be under constant supervision and would not baby-sit the mother's child, the mother, Denise Erb of Levittown, Bucks County, testified at a hearing.
Trindle, 23, has been in prison since the Sept. 29, 2005, death under Under questioning by First Assistant District Attorney Karen Byrnes-Noon, Trindle said she has been employed for only short periods and had moved five times since Jade Lynn was born. Read more
